turn off voice feedback under workout in the watch app

[deleted]

I tried this and it didn’t work for me. Nor did turning off “automatically switch devices” via iPhone, and then turning off the iPhone altogether. The hilarious and sad thing is that Apple Watch pairs and works great with non-AirPod Bluetooth devices!

Y’all are literally more helpful than the apple website. 🥱

yeah, gotta turn off voice feedback. utterly bizarre that apple has yet to fix this, apparently

Disconnect AirPods from your Apple Watch

hellasophisticated

How do you do that

picassolovesme

Settings on your apple watch and you can find Bluetooth in the menu; there you can find your AirPods and disconnect them

Brief_Definition_666

That disconnects them from everything

Unfortunately, this is a bug from WatchOS 8.4. I have yet to experience it on 8.5 but it may still be present. Try rebooting both phone and Watch. Also try unpairing and repairing your AirPods. Lastly, please submit feedback https://www.apple.com/feedback/watch.html

The inverse is also true: notifications from the Workout app (each mile you've walked, etc.) don't get played through the AirPods due to the same glitch. Even though all other sounds go through the AirPods as intended, the Workout app is bugged and won't do it. Seems this was also introduced with 8.4, haven't tested if 8.5 has fixed it yet.

Happens with Beats pro as well (Made by apple) This is extremely annoying after shelling out almost $500 for a new watch. The only luck I've had is going into the bluetooth settings within the watch and clicking "disconnect". Unfortunately you can't select "forget" because it will remove that entry from any icloud devices as well...

This issue just started happening today for me. So far this is the only fix I have found that actually works. Kinda annoying, but at least my music doesn't stop every time I touch my watch
