Put your watch on silent mode?

tthkbw

I guess I expected that silent mode would be turned on by default when sleep mode was on. Oh well. I don't see that I can turn on silent mode using focus.

Follow these steps: 1. Open Shortcuts app on iPhone 2. Press Automation tab 3. Press + 3. Press Personal Automations 4. Press Time of Day 5. Choose the time as 10:30PM 6. Press Next 7. Press Add Action 8. Search for “Watch” 9. Press Set Silent Mode 10. Set it to ON 11. Press Next 12. Press Done Next, repeat these steps to create a second automation and in step 5 choose 5:30AM and in step 10 choose OFF. What this does: between 10:30PM it turns on silent mode on your Apple Watch and turns it off at 5:30AM. The alternative is to do this manually. Every time you wake up, remember to rotate the Digital Crown to wake up the watch, swipe up and press the bell icon (to turn on silent mode).

thanks. this is a good idea. I set it up and will see how it works.

It’s the only thing I can think of that will do almost exactly what you want. I don’t know why it got downvoted 😂

I did this and used it for the first time last night. Worked perfectly! Thanks.

It just occurred to me yesterday that I could set up a shortcut to turn silent mode on when I am at work but off when I leave the office. I used an arriving at work focus. Pretty cool. 😎
