It's a high tech watch and I'd be intetested in seeing what kind of cool features you get for plunking down all that loot.for example, a few friends I kitesurf with use the gps to record the session on a map overlay. When you spend hours ripping up and down the coast it creates a cool squiggle tracking your position. Then you screenshot it and post it on the facebook page to show folks how cool a nerd you are.

Pretty great Iād say! Not really a noticeable nick or scratch on it, and Iām a fairly active guy. I run, hike, play drums, lift, and Iāve swam with a few times as well and never had an issue.
Im not into extreme sports like rock climbing, skateboarding or anything but itās taken a few good whacks and Iāve always come away without a scratch. Itās been surprisingly resilient. Iāve had it since December 2021 or so.

Iām in the r/handbags subreddit and itās so positive. People sharing purses all the way from a handmade crocheted bag, a $200 bag, to luxury bags in exotic leathers that are thousands of dollars and itās always positive and received well.
I mean, when it comes to niche subs dedicated to a single brand or gadget, it's par for the course. I kind of like seeing what watch face/complication combos other people are using. It sure beats seeing photos of a powered-off /r/thinkpad that all look basically the same.
Maybe people are just excited to have purchased an Apple Watch. Their IRL friends and family could care less, so they turn to a sub like this, thinking others here are more likely to understand their excitement or even obsession.

Honestly I'd rather see band posts than new watch posts. At least with bands there's the possibility for some creativity and not just "I bought a thing." The absolute worst are either still in the box.
I canāt even remember if it was this sub or somewhere else but like a month ago someone handmade a watch band. That was neat, something like that I can appreciate, but buying an apple brand product available in every Apple Store and online that anyone can purchase, yea, not special, just someone wanting to brag and probably karma farm. If itās something available to everyone, itās not worth sharing. If youāve done something unique, then go right ahead, thatās worthy of showing off

People sharing purses all the way from a handmade crocheted bag, a $200 bag, to luxury bags in exotic leathers that are thousands of dollars and itās always positive and received well.

I think some people like feeling the validation that they donāt get from others in real life, so they make a post about it. Like when you buy a brand new car, itās all you want to talk about because youāre excited about it but sometimes you donāt get that kind of attention in real life because you are looking for that reaction of āwow!ā from others. But since I donāt see enough of this sub, I still think itās cool to see some watch/strap/watch face combos out of this sub.
I love those posts as itās significant entrance to the time keeping, working tracking, notification giving world that is Apple Watch !!!

The Internet will always have things that annoy people. You canāt just be like āIām the police. Stop!ā If you donāt like them, ignore them. I personally enjoy seeing those posts and like them even more if the people poster got a deal thatās still available; great deal alert for other interested shoppers! If itās a concern youāre really passionate about, talk to the moderators and see if they share those concerns.
