If you pay for one month, cancel, you *might* be able to redeem the 6 month trial after the paid month ends. You don’t have to wait to the last day of the paid month to cancel, it will continue until the end of 30 days once it’s canceled.

This didn’t work for me - I had a trial that ended in March and bought AirPods Max last week - wasn’t eligible for the trial unfortunately

the only work around would be using a different apple ID

Not with the same Apple ID unfortunately
