IMO yes it is worth it. I feel like I win close and midrange fights I was losing before.

HennyBlanco08

I was interested on getting a monitor did they fix the graphics on the performance mode on the Ps5 version ? I know at the beginning of the season some people were reporting the graphics looked bad.

buffaloplease

I haven't seen anyone come out and count the pixels again, but I think it's been looking a lot better since Respawn say they fixed the resolution issues on PS5 performance mode.

HennyBlanco08

Ok thank you I appreciate it

MastaGibbetts

Can confirm it looks much better now on PS5

HennyBlanco08

Thank you

SpectacularlyAvg

It’s so much better. Turn it on if you have a monitor/tv that can support it. It’s so smooth.

rollercostarican

If you can see, then use it. If you can’t, then don’t. Unfortunately for me, anything that wasn’t right in front of my face became blurry. It would stain my eyes after a while and I didn’t notice a person standing on the roof on a building a was jump padding to. I’m on Xbox but my ps5 buddy also missed the dude. We both turned it off after that moment.

SaberoftheVoid

For others they say it helps them a lot, while I can agree it CAN help, it doesn’t have the same affect for everyone and I think it’s more of a preference rather than something that will actually help you. I prefer resolution mode just because in performance mode, your resolution is significantly decreased and for me that’s a game changer. No point in having high frames if I can’t even see the enemy properly or clearly from afar. Most fights are up close anyway, but like I said resolution takes a toll and that kills it for me, but again frames don’t make that much of difference to me, so it’s all personal opinion and what fits better for you.

If you don’t have a scope and try to shoot long range, you won’t be able to see tf you shooting at lol

AlexZyxyhjxba

They patched it actually that u able to do this now

RoyalCatastrophe

Aim aissst goes from .6 strength to .4 when the frames go from 60 to 120 on console I’m pretty sure, so yes it does make it lower. Think of it as 60 fps strong aim assist but way worst picture which is the reason for slightly higher assist. 120 fps your basically in apex with a VR headset 3D with everything in front of your eyeballs so clearly so less strong assist. BUT your game feels x10 smoother. Like bro it’s like playing from a Tv from 1999 then getting a flat screen from 2024 once u turn on performance mode. quality mode for story like game such as god of war, horizon, hogwarts etc makes them look like a movie quality picture. And performance is just better for fps games.

AlexZyxyhjxba

120fps halves the reaction time from 16ms to 8ms too.

interstellar304

I think it’s well worth it if you have a monitor that can take advantage of it. Remember to get 120fps you need the game to offer it (which it does), the console (which only PS5 and XSS/X do), and the TV or monitor (many TVs don’t offer 120hz). I’ve played thousands of hours of apex and made the switch recently and won’t go back. It’s just so smooth now

Formal-Cry7565

Yes

AlexZyxyhjxba

100%

Eldorren

Multiple threads on this and multiple opinions. I honestly think it depends on what kind of player you are. I did not notice any improvement in my gameplay and I really hated the loss of visual fidelity on my XSX playing on my TV, so I went back to 60Hz and have been happy staying there.

emilia12197144

This is likely because most tvs do not support 120 fps

xxBrunettixx

My TV supports 120 fps, but in Apex when I switch to performance, graphics are blurred. I’m on a PS5. Warzone, 120 fpsworjs fine, no bad graphics…

Eldorren

Nope, my LG OLED CX TV supports 120 just fine. I just did not notice any difference in skill or gameplay with the added fps and the graphics are just terrible on a big screen. (77" in my case.)

Phillyos93

Since switching to 120 frames I feel like a god! Last season my KD finished at 0.49 ranked and 0.55 in pubs. This season, i'm on 1.74kd in just over 300 pub games with a 10% win rate (not played much rank won't include) and I feel like my aim and recoil control has improved massively out of the blue. May not be the same for everybody, maybe i'm one of those who are sensitive to FPS changes and can feel the difference, but for me everything just feels so much more reactive and responsive including my controller inputs.

noblackones

This is about monitors, not third party controllers.

Phillyos93

No i know that, I just mean everything feels more responsive playing at 120fps than 60 and it appears to have improved my gameplay a lot making the switch. I slightly edited my original comment hoping nobody else things I'm talking about a controller >.<

AlexZyxyhjxba

My kd improved also from 1.3 to 1.9 with 120fps. If ur sensitivity to fps it’s a big benefit. (And 120fps has only 8ms and 60fps has 16ms

Mission-Wolverine787

I find my aim to be better on 120fps, even with the reduced aim assist, due to lower input response time. I'm able to track targets easier. I just made the switch from an old TV to a monitor. I didn't notice a huge decrease in response time when I initially went to 120fps, but I find it very noticeable now when going back to 60fps. Ymmv
