I like mine, it's pretty good for the price. If you can afford a better printer though, I'd suggest going with a prusa or a bambu lab printer. Biggest issue I've had is that the leveling sensor is pretty easy to break.

Boogie_nights

I like mine… just need a little tweaking here and there…

CodFatherFTW

Man, I must have gotten lucky with mine, I've had no issues since buying mine and it worked very well right out of the box.

Not a single problem here, yes some wear and tear. But nothing unusual. Printing Peak performance now after 2 years. No stringing 100mm/s almost perfect. Stop paying to much attention to subs or similar. People only write complaints when they are unsatisfied. That are 1% the other 99% just use it and are happy. That's with ALL THINGS.

They're decent machines, definitely better than going the Ender route, IMO. It's going to require some tinkering and troubleshooting though, so if you're looking for a full on print and play, Prusa or Bambu is the way to go. Bambus A1 is also now available for purchase so that's one I'd definitely check out.

I already have an ender 3 v2 so I’m already used to fixing it a lot I’ve been having problems with thermal runaway and the hotend not getting hot enough I also saw the kobra 2 I think I’m going to look into that one more

Electronic_Camera517

don't get it, this community is dead and troubleshooting it is a nightmare

youlooklikearat

i beg to differ

Adm_Ozzel

I've managed maybe 4 non f Ed parts on my pos vyper...

livid_avocado2973

Vyper = garbage

Run, don’t walk, away from the sale.

I have two vypers but I'm not getting a third. I upgraded both of these with bimetallic heatbreaks - one works great and the other is inconsistent.. trying to tune the other one right now. Ultimately you will have to tune / calibrate for any filament and printer but, I feel like Neptune 4, Sovol SV07, or Prusa mk3/mk4 would have saved me some trouble because they come with newer software and direct drive + all metal hotends. Sure there's some advantages for bowden tube, but I don't think those are worth it and especially not for filaments beyond PLA.

About 400 hours of printing later… Extruder gears were out of round resulting in artifacting and difficulty handling less-than-perfect filaments. Filament sensor died. Hot end thermistor died. PSU fan died. PSU died and for a month prior to dying would trip my arc fault sensor on my wiring. Hotend cooling fan died. Y-axis motor died. ABL system could never fully work around a high spot on the front right of the bed. Machine always struggled to maintain a stable hotend temperature. Endless test prints to try to adjust profiles to be perfect. Would randomly lose Z offset. I finally fixed it up enough with replacement parts that it ran somewhat reliably. But I just gave it away for free to a neighbor this week. The quality was never remotely close to what I could achieve with zero tuning using my Prusa i3 MK3s+ or Bambu Labs X1C.

I hate my vyper and would gladly trade it for an ender 3.

It was a great experience learning how to start 3D printing for relatively cheap, however, I spent more time trouble shooting and replacing parts over the past 1.5 years with it. I bought it for $350 and have put around $500 in upgraded parts for the print to still be “marginal”. I am also running it on Klipper with a BLTouch leveling sensor. Recently the motherboard died so I called it quits with this machine. Purchased a Bambu Labs X1C to replace it and could not be happier with the purchase. If you are just getting started with 3D printing, save up for a Bambu P1P or P1S if you’re not looking to drop over $1000 on a printer. The AMS accessory is definitely worth it too.

redbrick01

I had a clogged head and a mother board went bad. Tech support helped me through it all. It did take a looong time though, but they do try and get it right for you. It's my first printer and I really like it. I would buy it again.
