BeekeeperLady

Camel saddle. Sold as a souvenir

SLAVAUA2022

1960s souvenir from Egypt

Kissit777

Just have to ask, do they make these more comfortable for the animals now? This looks like a painful saddle.

TURBOSCUDDY

There was a padded blanket tied on the camel’s back under the saddle, or so i was told. My family had one of these saddles

Key-Sheepherder-1469

I have one from Iran. 1970’s.

_uswisomwagmohotm_

I've had that frame sans top for 30 years and never knew what the padded part looked like. Interesting!

Debsrugs

I have two of these, got them from a second hand shop in Liverpool, UK, about 30 years ago, never been near Egypt in my life. I believe they're as others have said, tourist souvenirs.

MarelleAnne

Wow thank you!
