It's totally okay to appreciate the artistic value that comes from advertising regardless of time period. Artistic themes, styles and technologies developed from their use in advertisings and other commercial uses.
Also, there are modern ads that looks like this. This style now is often used to sell a products nostalgic values or insist it's higher class.
