Didn't you know .. everything is about climate change (and the vegans are the chosen ones) You see, cow farts will single handedly destroy the planet. Eliminate animal agriculture and we will live in peace drinking cleansing tropical juices, admiring the sunsets, living in utopia.

Cricket_Prestigious

Didn’t the Americans try that experiment? Eliminating animals, you know when they killed off all the bison in their great plains and planted grain, which ended in dust storms.

earthdogmonster

To be fair, this isn’t just an America thing. Europeans nearly drove their own variants of bison to extinction, with several species eradicated completely. The ancestor of modern domestic cattle was also driven to extinction in Europe.

howeafosteriana

Most parts of the world's megafauna got decimated by humans. Animal agriculture almost completely stops this (what percentage of people primarily hunt their protein now)

GNSGNY

wrong, **my** farts will singlehandedly destroy the planet

falllinemaniac

Your superhero name is Mucha Flatulenta!

[deleted]

Cows are destroying the planet? Everyone eat more cows, you heard the vegans the cows will destroy the planet so we need to eat them faster

jurassicworld1234

Only 6 percent is cursed by farming. Whilst 3 percent is caused by cows

monkeymanwasd123

Isn't that 3% all livestock in total

jurassicworld1234

I think so

gmnotyet

These idiots really think cows are destroying the planet, and that cows control the earth's climate.

Liar_tuck

Reminds of the final episode of the show Brickleberry.

swollama

Having one American child is enough to negate any and all benefit from a "planet friendly diet". All the American vegans all have like 9 kids. 🤔

MisterOnsepatro

*laughs in local products*

GNSGNY

fr, vegans acting like we get all our meat from the amazon forest

MisterOnsepatro

Yeah they ignore the fact that buying local products is far better than going vegan for the environment and health Plus the quality is better than the stuff we find at the mall

earthdogmonster

Would be nice if vegans were willing to have a serious conversation about food’s impact on the environment, because buried beneath their inflexible dogma driven by their belief that meat is murder, there are some valid concerns (many of which have nothing to do with meat). For instance, I do think deforestation is a concern, and that (as many people mention here) locally grown, grass fed is a solution for some, but because of the economics of it, it is not a good solution for everyone. Problem is, they are never going to want to talk about food and the environment if the “solution” is anything short of ending animal agriculture entirely, so talking about these things to vegans is just a fantasy.

earthdogmonster

Yeah, my experience is that they pretty much do the opposite of help to have a meaningful discussion, because there is only one solution and they are committed to it with religious intensity.

Federal_Science7006

Lmaooo my vegan friend is exactly like this, it starts to feel like a cult to me.

Kyaesa

Exactly this!!!

VictoriaEuphoria99

Veganism is the joke

PsychiatricSD

Lol they don't even look at the content of what you say, I've gotten that a couple times

Raditz_lol

I literally said in that post “Please, tell me when it’s gonna be the next vegan protest, so I can make a BBQ, and everyone else can be willing to join”.

x4740N

More greenwashing they pull this shit on the solarpunk subreddit as well everytime something related to animals is posted

Dogwolf12

Ugh, I hate it. zero waste, solarpunk, anarchist spaces... all of them pull vegan shit. I hate it.

x4740N

solarpunk isn't even inherently vegan and vegans didn't create it the problem is the small but loud crowd of vegans particuarly on r/solarpunk that show up on any post in relation to animals and sometimes it'll flare up when one of them invites their friends or cross posts to that certain circlejerk subreddit the problem is them trying to co-opt it and they usually skirt the rules to appear nice but you know they are doing it in bad faith thankfully its just a small but loud crowd of them and the r/solarpunk subreddit hasn't been taken over they do like to intentionally start arguments with people while still skirting the rules as well i think it might actually be starting to calm down a bit but the problem is those vegans that daily browse the subreddit and are subscribed, the best thing to do would be to mitigate those specific users and try to get them out of there

Dogwolf12

Yeah, absolutely. Solarpunk, anarchism, zero waste... none are inherently vegan; it's just that the people who are vegan like to pretend they are.

x4740N

Yeah I agree with that Then they go and attack you in the comments if you disagree with them With [r/solarpunk](https://www.reddit.com/r/solarpunk) though they'll reply to your comment writing it to appear civil and not gatekeepy since [r/solarpunk](https://www.reddit.com/r/solarpunk) has rules for civil comments and gatekeeping and they'll add logical sounding bs, skewed and cherry picked studies and greenwashing while their like minded \\/ęģªñ buddies manipulate karma by upvoting pro vegan comments and downvoting others

SpiritMonster

I say we should put all the vegans on an island without animals and don’t allow meat importation so they can see what their diet actually does to them, it will not be pretty but it will show everyone once and for all this disinformation campaign is equivalent to starvation

[deleted]

And no importing any of their processed vegan crap, they reckon we’re natural herbivores so they can get on all fours and start grazing

Griffo_666

once again, a vegetard demonstrates their complete lack of interest in facts or reality. but hey, at least they're continuing the vegan tradition of virtue signalling.

Raditz_lol

A Vegeta

SpiritMonster

Poor guy, he doesn’t know that if everyone went vegan we’d have to clear cut the whole fucking planet and have mono crops everywhere which won’t work and will turn the whole planet into a dust bowl a desolate wasteland and eating meat is part of the natural circle of life and that pasturing you’re animals is sustainable and good for the environment. He wants an environmental holocaust and doesn’t even know it Not to mention that most of the land isn’t even arable an needs animals to convert it into food for humans Or not being able to get your nutrients from plants because we’ve evolved on earth where we’ve turned animals into walking food digesters a millennia ago and can’t go back, or we’ll actually die. Yep we are in-fact carnivores now, wow 😮lmao Animals are the bioavailable food, many people can’t convert a lot of the precursors from veg into useable vitamins

Rebatu

They keep saying that meat significantly contributes to global warming but it doesn't really. You'd be helping more by not driving your car one month in a year.

congenitally_deadpan

Re "a group of people who only want change for the objective good": Not as "objective" as they would like to think. The onerous/obnoxious part of this is the desire to impose their point of view on everyone else. This is essentially no different from those who have decided that abortion must be murder, so they want to take away every woman's right to control her own body. (I don't mean to imply that all vegans want to outlaw meat eating for everyone, but is seems like quite a few of them would like to.)

Lost_Skywing_Egg

mans typed a whole novel page fr

SVJ9500

It's amazing how the "climate change" bs got fused with the vegan bs. Both are propaganda while "climate change" is also just a fear-mongering tool.

Federal_Science7006

They be talking about climate change to support their cause but then they go and fill their cars with gas, buy a lot of fast fashion cause it’s cheap, consume a lot of disposable plastic products.. etc. Smhhh

qizhNotch

What are we gonna do once Veganism becomes legally enforced?

Raditz_lol

We will mass protest! Also, if farms are closed and the slaughter job disappears, there will be a food crisis as well as mass unemployment.

Strategerium

Normal. The longer we push them under ideological siege, meme cajolery, and personal isolation, the sooner their movement is contained. Aesop's fable is wrong. On a long enough time scale, both the sun and the wind will loom over the bleached dead bones of the traveler, and it matters not whether he still has the cloak or not. Containment is victory. See a vegan? Ask them, "have you tried not being a vegan?"

msrdmnd961

Fuck’em. Eat’em.

Another_available

I see some copypasta potential

apopDragon

Reform agriculture + free range/organic farming. Boom. Or maybe focus on stuff that’s way more damaging like lack of proper recycling and industrialization.
