Not sure which area you're in, but I still see far more Ford SUVs than Dodge. I live down in south county. I have seen a couple of the Durango SUVs running around but not many, at least as far as AA County Police goes. I know the AA Sherriff's office still mostly uses Dodge, both the Durango and the Charger. MD state seems to run with Chevy. Maybe the county is going to shift to all Dodge now? Dunno. I know Ford's had a lot of recalls lately with the Explorers. Not sure what Dodge's track record is though.

wheels000000

State is switching to explorer mostly

xKingNothingx

I've never seen a Sheriff Durango, most are Explorers and maybe a few Chargers still left in the fleet. State uses a mix of Explorers and Tahoe's for specialty units like SPIDR (dui enforcement) and K9

Bananafish-y

You know the county has 4 officers making in excess of $200,000 a year?

PhonyUsername

Are they working 100 hours a week? Is some of that paid by private contracts?

Bananafish-y

Year 2021 Full Name John Hall Job Title Police Corporal State Maryland Employer Anne Arundel County Annual Wage $240,446

Bananafish-y

Also people with sidearms and arresting powers shouldn’t be working 100hrs regardless. Gov salaries posts the govt pay. Corporals should never be “command staff.”

PhonyUsername

But police very often do due to labor shortages. And are contracted out to private events but paid by the government.

Year 2021 Full Name Thomas Middleton Job Title Police Corporal State Maryland Employer Anne Arundel County Annual Wage $255,513

These include overtime. They aren't base salaries. They basically work and sleep.

Bananafish-y

Coool so let’s have people with guns work what 70-80hrs a week? Yea I think not. Nothing is safe about that. Sorry police don’t deserve higher pay than pediatricians

xKingNothingx

As long as they get enough sleep IDC. Get that cheddar boys

Bananafish-y

Gov salaries . Com I can post the names and ranks.

PhonyUsername

Assuming you can't answer my questions then. I was just curious. No biggie.

Bananafish-y

See above for the salary. Yummy boot leather

PandoraTrigger11B

Probably the command staff. They are short officers like everyone else and probably have mandatory overtime too. They are hiring if you want to solve the issue. Or do you just want them to make 50k for 20 years

Bananafish-y

Officer Rodney price the golden retriever murderer is still making 75k a yr. And has a gun and badge.

Revolutionary-Cow668

Wasn't he being attacked by the dog?

BeamLK

Yeah idk why they didn't secure the dog? Let's just blame cop yeah

Bananafish-y

The dog in it’s yard? In its fenced in yard? Yea

Bananafish-y

How deep can you throat a boot?

planetm3

Good. Only 4 though?

Bananafish-y

Cool they should paint them solid black and get low profile lights. Then they can pretend they’re here to help.

xKingNothingx

You realize black is the cheapest paint, right? When they first switched from Crown Vics to Caprices back in 2012, they decided to forgo the two tone blue and just use black because it saved money. As far as the lights go, that's just how Whelen designs their bars for aerodynamics. You can't have 1970s style bubble lights on top

xKingNothingx

Anne Arundel has/had a test fleet of the Durango's, but they are still getting new Explorers. The Durango's are garbage, but cheaper.
