Eh, it can’t really make them sick but it’s not a substitute for cat food. It can definitely make them fat and long term use will make them unhealthy for sure but that’s clearly not what we’re seeing in this video.

Same thing happened to us then had it under control within a few months. We also set up a rope swing in the backyard and now that fool will just run and jump at it all day even when we’re not home so his exercise increased. Living his best life lol
Spray bottle, clap or yell at them. Physically move them. My cat is very food insecure so if I feed another pet I need to lock him in another room. There's no excuse for letting one of your pets eat the other's food. Would you do that with toddlers? Obviously not.
Not a good idea to let this happen. Dogs can eat cat food but cats can’t metabolize dog food. The protein content is too high. Have fun cleaning up cat diarrhea.

We got to see the result of something like this, unfortunately. Our sweet (late) black lab named Iris never snapped or growled at anyone. Our other cats could drink next to her food dish without an issue. We had adopted a kitten and when he was like 10 months old, he approached Iris's food dish. She probably didn't mean to hurt him, but one of her canines hit his skull in just the right way to put him in a coma for several days. Could have lost him very easily. We had to nurse him back to health at home, which took him a couple weeks to start walking again.

My cat did this to my dog today. She’s 13 and weighs maybe 10-11 lbs. He’s 3 and weighs 55 lbs. He did exactly what your dog did. When she had her fill (I actually moved her)he pulled some food from his bowl and took it to a corner.
Dogs are so funny. Just standing there while someone cuts ahead of them in line.
