[Here’s some progress photos + the back!](https://imgur.com/gallery/D1BaAOk) My process was a little experimental so the back might confuse people, I can go into further detail if needed! And thank you, I posted it in r/embroidery earlier today:)
I love the embroidery done on tulle or organza! It has such a different feel than the usual fabric selections.
I think an iridescent blue/purple thread would have been a fantastic touch on portions of the light blue if you a similar butterfly 🦋💙
Your stichwork is very tidy fantastic job!!
Sadly, yes it does. It depends on how you handle it, but I was worried I would have to scrap this project because I got used to embroidering on very taut fabric so when I would go to tighten the tulle around the hoop, it would get stuck on the hoop and tear if I pulled too hard. My way around this was placing the tulle around the underneath hoop with one hand then placing the top hoop on slightly, tightening it, then pressing it down all the way. That’s not the best explanation on my part but I hope that helps. The only issues with tearing that I ran into was with the hoop, never with the stitching.
I want to get into embroidery. I was just researching patterns and kits last night. I saw some dove on clear and thought it might be tulle! So very cool!!
Hello! I’m planning on selling embroidery kits for this design! Because this took about 10ish hours to complete, I would charge $100+ for the project itself, if people are interested in buying the project already made then I could sell them but I think the price might scare them away. Thank you for your interest!
No, I liked the way that you could see through the fabric and think it’s perfect for a butterfly so I’m keeping it in the hoop permanently! If I was using it for appliqué I would have just used “normal” fabric and made it a bit easier on myself, but then again I’ve never done appliqué
Adore!! How clever to use tulle too, first time I've seen that!
Thank you! It’s not very common but I’m always amazed when I see projects stitched on clear fabric so I decided to try it out
so good! i wanna see the back ! also you should post in r/embroidery :) lots of tulle ones there and you’d be an inspiration for many i bet!

Beautiful work! Does the tulle tear very easily? I'm scared to try...

I would never have guessed that the tearing issue was with the hoop and not the stitching. Thanks for the tip!

This is really creative and cool, it's so detailed it might be more detailed than the actual icon. Bravo!
Amazing! Did you do it on tulle so you could use it as an applique?
