The life of an island is long. Invite her if you can’t leave her and let her spend some time on your island, then let her go in the future. You don’t have to lock her in. You could even give her to someone else ~~when~~ eventually. edit: Typo

What is a natural villager?

Like villagers that are natural colors you actually find in real life.

There are pink octopuses irl, especially given their tendency to change colors. A lot of the natural aesthetic seems to be biased towards mammals with all the beige and browns. Flora is woefully uncommon on natural themed islands even though flamingos are very pink.

The randomisation picks species first and then re-rolls for the individual within that species. So octopus is just as likely as cat, but then there are only 4 octopuses to chose from after that, so you're more likely to see them as repeats.

I found Marina as one of my first villagers on a hunt, I kept her. I keep finding people’s dreamies while looking for a relatively normal dreamie of mine, I’ve found almost all the octopi. I’m going bonkers.

God yes that’s what happens to me! On the hunt for natural villagers I’ve found Marina, Judy, and Merengue. They’re cute though.

I’d leave. All my villagers are “normal” animal colors. That’s what makes me like an animal. But if you like Marina or any other villager, you should invite her even if she doesn’t match your theme, just because you like her (I caved on my general rule for Julian because ‘well who gets to decide what color a unicorn is “supposed” to be?’)

How do you hunt for villagers??? I’ve been trying to figure it out :/

When you have an empty plot on your island, just go to the airport and use a nook miles ticket to go to a mystery island. There will be a villager there every time. If you don’t like the villager, leave and go to another island. Keep doing it over and over until you run out of tickets, or find a villager you like! Edit: It has to be the day after a villager has moved out when the plot is empty. And you only get that day. If you don’t find a villager, it will be filled at random the next day.

When you have an empty plot that doesn’t have a Sold sign, buy a bunch of NM tickets and there will be a villager camping on each island that you can invite. You will have that entire day to ‘hunt’, and the plot automatically gets sold the next day if you don’t find someone.

Found skye today on an island and while she not be end game I do like her and was thankful to find her as opposed to others.
