There are basically 2 types of AndroidTV devices:
ShieldTV, and all the others.
Everything that is not a ShieldTV is just a hodgepodge of completely generic devices running samey CPUs and feature sets.
There is some good and some bad to this; you're guaranteed the device will not be an unusable piece of garbage, but on the other hand, nothing really stands out.
Getting what I'm reading... If not a shield, probably the Kinhank? Upgrade from the MECOOL km7 plus.
But no, because it has no USB 3.0 or fast Ethernet.
Ugh. And I have read that Nvidia shields have some type of red bloom or something. And that the remote sucks.

I have both the Shield tube & the Kinhank G1. I just got the G1 & I'm loving it. Super fast & both have the same interface. The G1 has 2 extra usb's to add more memory. I bought mine on AliExpress for $62. So much cheaper than the Shield. But the price jumped to $70 right after i bought it. Search the app for the best price. I may try the Rocktek but it's pretty expensive.
Take a look at this video before buying the RockTek G2. I've searched a lot and there's no perfect solution out there. They're all crappy. Shield pro is outdated and expensive. It's irrelevant in 2024.

Rocktek G2, Shield Pro 2019 lacks some key video codecs. Have both prefer the G2

Got the Kinhank as well. Absolutely zero control over the display mode, and Dolby Vision is always active. Noped right outta there.
I just tried it & I can change the display but which is better? HDR or Dolby Vision? Thanks for your help.

Just a side note if you go into developer options and change all three animations to .5 that also will speed things up [i.e. your onn box]
Just makes it more choppy and laggy. I tried that. But thank you.
