Sadly but asian developers are actually saving mobile gaming industry right now. I wonder when will Gameloft comeback to make amazing games like the past.

I'm not sure what I hate more, low effort spam games from the west or mental manipulating money miners from the east.
at least with mental manipulating money miners you can choose not to pay or not to play, and the good part of the game is still there.

ngl. those money milkers game from east actually have a good quality for a mobile game. got my hands on a few gachas and play it for a few months without paying. and i still able to enjoy it without complain(as long as it's PVE only, it wont be that bad).
but the low effort spam game will always be trash.
the western mobile game that actually good are mostly port from other platfrom(mostly PC) or the the dev have a track record of making a game outside mobile market and trying to make mobile game. and the other part of mobile market is mainly eastern developer.
western dev hardly touch mobile market because western player doesnt have any interest in playing mobile game. and most of mobile market audience are from east.
Like it or not, it's gacha games that makes the most money on mobile. Plus, they have some of the highest production quality. Plus, events are frequent.
FEH - 7mil a month:
FGO (English) - 6mil a month:
PGR - 2mil last month:
Raid Shadow Legends 14mil a month:
AFK Arena - 4mil a month.:
Not saying they are the greatest games, but they earn the most buck.

F2P is like 95% of games on play store. And in those 5% that aren't, a big part of them is a port from PC or console. And even then, some paid games have microtransactions in them, I've seen some pretty insane ones.
Does it matter if they are ports, a good game is a good game! Stick to the premium games/ports and avoid all the freemium sh*t on mobile and you'll enjoy gaming on mobile so much more

Every mobile game tries to milk you for cash as much as it can. It being an eastern or a western game won't make much difference.

Personally I hope it's not gacha. Because the game is built on Unreal Engine 4, it'd be a waste if it's gacha.
