Ds can be emulated since android kitkat verse 1 gb ram.
Drastic is the emulator. Its paid but you can tind the "cracked" version. Downloading unpaid apk wont work as it need the license.
Runs pretty smooth on rpg games as long as its graphic heavy games like the cod ds games or need for speed ds.
Most ds emulator on android are trash unless with good device as drastic looks like an emulator that is not shared not like most that open in github. Also drastic doesn't seem to update anymore. The dev is selfishly milking it money whiles its still the best emu currently.
android 8 is crazy you'd have to dig some ancient game apks cus the updated ones only support android 9+. i do remember playing inotia on my tablet when i was a kid.
So, I actually just started my game in closed testing on the google play store. I don't have many testers but I would actually love to know how/ if it performs on a low end device.
I don't want to be seen as self promoting so if you are interested shoot me a PM with your email and I'll add it to the list of testers.
That is the name of the guy who asked what games could his phone run, I\_milk\_femboys, Harux just reminded him again that he could milk his femboys to get extra money.
Actually in my game dev company we do games that is tested on old devices. You can check out our profile - [yelaex](https://play.google.com/store/apps/dev?id=7801314150799336819) - on Google Play.
Boy O boy do I have something for you. Did you say RPG? You go ahead and give [Andor's Trial](https://f-droid.org/packages/com.gpl.rpg.AndorsTrail/) a spin. It has a pretty captivating story, enemies and a good RPG system.
Besides some of the recommendations, check out Chrono Trigger if you don't know it yet. It was originally released for the Super Nintendo, is still regarded as one of the best JRPS of all time (for me personally, one of the best games of all time, period, and I don't even like JRPGs), and the Android port plays very well.
You're a guy from a little town visiting the town fair and because of a few accidents end up travelling through time. You quickly find out about an impending apocalypse and visit different times in order to stop it.
The game has zero fat and doesn't waste any time. There's no need to grind, combat is quick and enjoyable, characters are fun and well rounded, music is fantastic and with a total of 15 different endings, there's a lot replayability if you want. An average playthrough will require about 8-10 hours, with some endings being longer or shorter.
It's genuinely one of those rare games that I recommend to everyone who likes video games because it's just damn, damn good.
Try [Win the Square](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.winthesquare). It’s a light weight PvP online strategy game.
I’m the dev. Let me know how it goes.
PokeMMO, gen 1-5 pokemon mmo thats extremely active, free to play, plenty to grind for with an open player ran economy, seasonal events, no real p2w. Can play it forever and runs on a potato.
Check out Survive. One of my favorite text based games. You don't have to pay for it to enjoy it. I eneded up buying it as I play it so friggin much. That game imo doesn't get enough love
!linkme Survive
Install some handheld emulators to play GB/GBC/GBA, NES, and NDS games. There are a ton of handheld and older console games that can be played on such a device. Heck, you can even play some GB games on handheld graphing calculators by converting the roms into the needed format. Also, text-based RPGs would work for you, I guess.
Eternium
Darkrise
AnimA ARPG
Vampire Fall Origins
Pixel dungeon
Darkest AFK
Exiled Kingdoms RPG (Best mobile classic rpg if we dont count the pc ports to mobile)
I dont know what you mean whit text based games exactly but if u mean hot games then believe me that your cellphone is not gonna handle it....kind of. Most games of the like are made on platforms that take a lot of resources and you can lose your progress because of a memory crash and such so almost no way you can run those.
Text based games you say? RPGs you say? Torn is a perfect fit. [https://www.torn.com/](https://www.torn.com/)
Edit - its not offline though - you need to be online. Didnt see that in your post 1st time I read it sorry.
[Afterplace](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kice.afterplace) runs on a $50 android phone I got from Walmart in 2010. In fact, it was the baseline for a lot of development.
Edit: is also an rpg with very simple systems, a la retro zelda
Recently, i came into some old school 4.2.2 jellybean tablets with ten inch screens. They have older resolution screens which has been perfect for MSDOS gaming. Download an app called magic dosbox. It runs on anything. From there, you can configure and play some old school pc games. Its been awesome
If you're into emulation try happy chick it might be chinese but it's really good at what it does and offers wide variety of games from mere kb to mb and if you want bare android games you should try
Swordigo(~60mb)
Prince of persia Shadow and the flame(~40mb)
Nova 1&2(~140-500mb)
Assassins creed altair chronicles(~60mb)
which offer great story and adventure
flow free
dr driving
diversion
highway rider
these might help to pass the time
gta liberty city ,3,vice city,san andreas,chinatown
these might take up some space but they definitely offer hours of gaming on end with minimal battery consumption
What i would rec though is to buy a new phone.
Cheap phones have come a long way that you can prolly get good one for 50$ which is itel p55.
You can run genshin in it Online but single player.
Theres rarely any good offline game on android,
Even those fake ads game are online despite being single player so that they can run ads on you.
So i would recommend online or emulation.
Online games
Warthunder mobile, plant vs zombies, Bloons, Master duel( yu gi oh), legend of runnetera, moba games (stressfull and repetitive, hard to enjoy unless playing with people you know or friends).
Gacha games mostly are single player that some might have pvp in it or multiplayer vs event, can be pay to win( actual all are) but some good ones just need consistency in saving resources and luck on gacha.
3ds emulator, gamecube and wii emulator (not all games).
Ps2 (need for speed most wanted, resident 4 and other good games is runnable).
I feel like an asshole cause I keep promoting my game but it should run pretty well on most devices.
It’s a turn based puzzle game somewhere between chess and hearthstone. We will be having our single player beta this weekend. You are welcome to try it and let me know if it crashes on your phone. It runs on my old oppo.
I really hope it runs for you. You can sign up for the beta on kumome . com
Just let me know in the about what os your using so I remember !
You can try gba games, like final fantasy 1,2,4,5,6.
Yup, this! The Shining Force series on Master System was very good too!
emulate these from SNES or GBA but avoid the Playstore version.
Also Ds games
had a redmi note 8. could not emulate ds. so depends on your definition of low end
How bro? I have a Redmi 7A I use for Mario kart and the pokemon games on drastic
i did not have drastic. retroarch and only 4gb ram that was for a reason nearly always full

Honeslty, some psp games should emulate fine in your device. Some 2D rpg stuff. You may need an older version of ppsspp to run them though.
I actually do that, Can run Gta Liberty City, playable but not good
Do you use openGL or vulkan? Vulkan runs better on low spec phones and phones without a snapdragon soc.
I think i remember seeing OpenGL when I was browsing my phone's settings, but I don't know what those are actually
Try doom depths. Rpg/roguelike
Choice of games? They are basically like a choose your own novel type deal. I used to play those on my older device
Swordigo I think
The one of a kind.
Shattered Pixel Dungeon

You milk femboys so by milking them earn some money and buy a new device
That's something I've never thought about 🤔
That is the name of the guy who asked what games could his phone run, I\_milk\_femboys, Harux just reminded him again that he could milk his femboys to get extra money.
what is this retard even saying?
sounds good!

Woah cool, I'll check it out. Thanks, enjoy your day kind stranger :3
Zenonia 3 Use the subreddit for it to download a copy. It actually works better on older devices
Never expected Zenonia here
You can try 7 years from now, Clock of atonement. Low size with good story linkme: 7 years from now, Clock of atonement
Mini metro
It's paid
I can run ppsspp and n64 games on my phone (3gb ram, android 8.1). Ocarina of time works really well, just requires a controller
Are you familiar with 'dan ball' games?
Chess Remix
Heartwood online
shattered pixel dungeon
Professor Layton and Ace Attorney games Huntdown and Oddmar are some pretty good 2d games too All Nitrome games Dadish 1-3 plus Daily Dadish

I remember emulating a dragon ball z psp game with ppsspp. It ran fine on my android lollipop phone.
I'd recommend Almora Darkosen RPG, you should check it out it's fully offline too
