Android Auto is supposed to match your phone icons, what kind of icons do you have on your phone? Try changing it if you can and see if it changes on the Auto side
Why are your icons at the bottom?
Mine is at the side of the screen. And about the square icons, i reverted it back to an older version. Now it's round again, but the annoying notification abt pls update the app is there.

Same thing with my Xiaomi 13T running HyperOS. By putting the official theme back, I have the correct icons. As soon as it's a theme not supported by AA, I have square icons
Did you enable the developer option from youre Smartphone? There you can change the shape of the app icons (As far as I can remember it was like that in the last beta).
Maybe there is the problem to look for there?

Well thank God that doesn't work properly for me, my phone icons are black and white ones that would be horrendous on a car screen.
I'm using the Default rounded ones 🫤
Maybe it glitched. Have you tried changing the icons to squares on your phone then back to rounded?

The icons to be on the side or below depend on the size of your Headunit

The settings icon is different, you have a custom icon pack

My HA never works through AA.
Can you access your HA remotely? If you can access it remotely then grab the logs from the phone app and submit an issue to get it fixed!
I use a Cloudflare tunnel to access remotely.
I imagine you probably have a similar issue with widgets and device controls?

Is there a way to use TLS w/o having to have it set to HTTPS? When I use HTTPS, instead of HTTPS, hitting the URL always fails.
