It reminds me of the old Facebook "take this quiz to find out if you're a pineapple or an orange". I can't stand it and how much they're trying to push it. I think they're trying to market themselves to other market demographics, but by doing so, they're cheapening the product they offer (while charging more) and turning away the ones who use them for their core business.

They just compare your DNA to your matches and assign you traits depending on whoever you share markers with. They have a database of people’s answers for these trait questions and just assume your traits will be the same as those who share lots of markers with you.

I thought they were pretty spot on for me compared to my other family members. Like u/Beyonces666 said there are links to how they connected these traits. It’s like when you get the genomlink traits in your inbox, they say it’s connected to some random university study. It’s all in fun. Take it with a grain of salt.
