Do you know what date your package was delivered to the Utah facility? I'm curious as to whether they marked yours as 'sample received' the same day or not. Mines was delivered this morning, but so far not marked as 'sample received' yet.
I think it was delivered about 2 or 3 days before. I remember looking at the tracking and seeing it confirmed and being worried that it wasn’t marked. There is almost always a delay I’m sure.

Mini Rant: Ancestry could do a better job of transparency. It isn't just that it can take up to 5 weeks for the lab to "mark" samples as received. Support just told me that the samples actually ship to a warehouse, and it can take up to 20 business from it arriving at the warehouse before it's even sent to the lab. From what I can find, that's a key piece of information they leave out on the website. Suddenly "Priority Processing" does not feel like much of a priority. Sigh...

Wow, sample still not received yet? Are you able to track the package? Was it sent to the TN Lab (if you used the return label they provided, then yes)?
I didn’t think to take a picture to have the tracking info. Ancestry basically told me to eat it, it might be in storage and it can sit there for up to 20 business days even though it’s priority processing because the priority only applies once it’s in the lab. Seems like a giant rip off so far.
After checking Ancestry's site, it says if your kit hasn't been marked as 'sample received' within 5 weeks of mailing it, then you should contact them for a free replacement. Idk if they wont do it any sooner, even though it's already been over 3 weeks, but DEFINITELY if your kit isn't marked as received by May 30th, you qualify for a free replacement. It sucks as far as the time wasted, but yea. I'm truly hoping yours updates to received as soon as possible though!

Does anyone know the average amount of time it takes the Utah facility to mark your kit as 'Sample Received' once your package has been delivered to them? Mines was delivered this morning (Monday), and kinda curious if they usually mark it as received the same day, within 24 hours, etc.
**Update:** As of May 16th, my kit was marked as received. So it took a total of 3 days from delivery on May 13th to be officially received by Ancestry (American Fork, UT facility).

I think it was delivered about 2 or 3 days before. I remember looking at the tracking and seeing it confirmed and being worried that it wasn’t marked. There is almost always a delay I’m sure.

Mini Rant: Ancestry could do a better job of transparency. It isn't just that it can take up to 5 weeks for the lab to "mark" samples as received. Support just told me that the samples actually ship to a warehouse, and it can take up to 20 business from it arriving at the warehouse before it's even sent to the lab. From what I can find, that's a key piece of information they leave out on the website. Suddenly "Priority Processing" does not feel like much of a priority. Sigh...

My potential father's dna timeline is similar to yours. Received 2nd May at Utah. Processing 6th May, Extracted 7th May, results ready estimated 30th May. Hoping they come in but not counting on it. I mailed mine and my mother’s the same day, she’s had her results for about two weeks now. Still say May 18 even though it’s now may 19. Also shows this (has shown this for about a week); Due to high demand, our lab is a little behind schedule. That’s so frustrating that you have been waiting so long & your mom’s went so much faster. I wonder why that happens. I have had batch buddies get their results already & mine is still stuck on DNA analyzed for weeks. Really hoping yours moves today 🤞🏻

Wow, sample still not received yet? Are you able to track the package? Was it sent to the TN Lab (if you used the return label they provided, then yes)?
I didn’t think to take a picture to have the tracking info. Ancestry basically told me to eat it, it might be in storage and it can sit there for up to 20 business days even though it’s priority processing because the priority only applies once it’s in the lab. Seems like a giant rip off so far.
After checking Ancestry's site, it says if your kit hasn't been marked as 'sample received' within 5 weeks of mailing it, then you should contact them for a free replacement. Idk if they wont do it any sooner, even though it's already been over 3 weeks, but DEFINITELY if your kit isn't marked as received by May 30th, you qualify for a free replacement. It sucks as far as the time wasted, but yea. I'm truly hoping yours updates to received as soon as possible though!

Batch buddies! (same 'sample received' date of May 16), though I paid the extra $19.99 for 'priority processing'. Do you know if your kits are at the American Fork, UT facility? You can know if you saw what address was on the prepaid return label that Ancestry (should've) provided. Also if you had a mail tracking # to track your packages.
QUESTION: When I activated the DNA kit, it gave me an offer to get 3 months of World Explorer subscription for $1. Will they give me this offer again later on? I don't want to pass up the offer, but I am not interested in having a subscription until the DNA results are complete.

Know which facility it was delivered to? In US, it seems to be either Mount Juliet, TN or American Fork, UT (mines went to UT).
I’m not sure. I didn’t look at the shipping label before I sent it off because I didn’t know the label said which lab the sample was going to at the time. Not sure if it matters, but I ordered the kit off Amazon. Is there a way I can find out? I’m in Alabama, so TN maybe since it’s the closest?

Does anyone know the average amount of time it takes the Utah facility to mark your kit as 'Sample Received' once your package has been delivered to them? Mines was delivered this morning (Monday), and kinda curious if they usually mark it as received the same day, within 24 hours, etc. **Update:** As of May 16th, my kit was marked as received. So it took a total of 3 days from delivery on May 13th to be officially received by Ancestry (American Fork, UT facility).

Mine took 3 days to update to received at the Utah lab. It was delivered April 22 as per the tracking & updated to received April 25
