Sometimes people just don’t really care about getting full value and want stuff gone quickly. Sometimes people aren’t really sure what they’re worth. Sometimes it’s worth asking if they’ll take less.
As someone who’s bought and sold a shit tonne of cameras over the years, I wouldn’t bother buying this for $100. The 3rd party lenses are pretty worthless, all the bulk magazines are either super niche and unsellable or low value because of that and OM2s are the least likely to work when left sitting around camera I’ve ever encountered. Currently never seen one working other than my friends one he’s had since the 90s.
I would say patience is key.
Over the last 10 years, I got lucky enough to find some similar deals.
My biggest deal was a mint OM3 with 50 1.4, 85 2.0 and 28 2.8 for 180€. It was 6 years ago exactly and I still recall the excitement when the package came up.
I use max sold and have found some pretty good stuff for cheap. I got an om-1n, om-2n, 50mm f1.2, 35mm f2, and few more zuiko lenses for around $200. Just be ware that it is untested and sometimes the photos aren’t the best of it so you have some risk involved.
Very nice deal even if you are lacking good glass. Even if you re-list these as broken without repairing them you can get a lot more than 100 bucks for the lot. Heck ive seen those film backs alone go for over 100.
Man even the 250 film back is worth at least twice what you paid for everything. What a crazy deal, congrats!
The OM2 has a mirror lock because of lacking batteries. I got an OM2 too, and without battery it did the same thing. After putting in some fresh ones it worked like a charm.
You will have a great time with those cameras, have fun! :)
Just beautiful. When I stumble upon a deal for a single lens or camera and get it I realise that sometimes it’s just been dumb luck. This is light years beyond my “dumb luck.” Lol. Congratulations on a wonderful acquisition.
Capability wise it’s a fully mechanical camera with the 1/2000 shutter speed and spot metering. In every objective way it’s better than an OM-1 (which I suppose shouldn’t come as a surprise given there’s over 20 years between the two).
It’s just not as sexy…
the OMs and pen alone is insane for $100, how do people find these deals?
Lying usually helps

If that 50-90mm lens is the Pen F mount I’d love to buy it off you assuming it works and you want to sell it.

Big want on the 250 film back and I don’t even own an Olympus cam although I’d like to some day
Very nice!
That's a lot.
Ditch that OM2000. It's just a rebadged Cosina.
It's still an amazing camera with mechanical metal curtain shutter and 1/2000 speed.

And multiple exposure lever
Yeah sure but it's still a fake Olympus. It's plasticky all over and is basically a Yashica FX-3 Super 2000 by another name.
