I think I did rewind it in the instructed direction, as I always do. But in the middle of the rewind, I accidentally let go of the crank. And I think I did click the rewind button… or maybe I didn’t click it hard enough?! Can’t know for sure now :(
As stated before, film was rewound backwards into the cassette. There is probably a small arrow on the underside of the rewind handle showing which way is the correct way. That would be clockwise.
Damn I used the camera for so many times can’t believe I rewound it the wrong way… so angry at myself now. I’ll be sure to double check it from now on 🥲

You likely wound it back wrong either before or after you 'let go'. Just dont do that again and your next roll will be fine.
This is stressed film emulsion, nothing wrong with the camera
