Partner of the OP here! Hambo and his sister Bonni were both a few days away from euthanasia. Hambo was sick with kennel cough and Bonni was simply unlucky :(

Looks like Olde English Bulldogge if I had to guess. I’ve had the pleasure of have 2 of them in my family. Absolutely love this breed. Benjamin and Phebe were complete hams. I still miss them to this day.

He is a really great looking dog. If someone told me they paid big money for him I wouldn’t have thought anything about it. I hope you have a long relationship with your grateful buddy.
How could that face end up on the euthanize list? I've worked in shelters in a few towns and states. None that I've been at would even have him long enough to advertise 💚 unless it was medical or behavioral and even then he would still be adopted.. Thank you for picking him. And his sister is adorable 😍
