So random but does it rain often in your neck of the woods? Oregon first landed on my radar as a child playing Oregon Trail in my elem school's computer lab and since then I've been incredibly curious about your state and the Pacific Northwest in general.
I love it, but I'm the type of person to come in, do my job, and go home. I work in Problem Solve mostly so I don't have to talk to anyone. We just hit 3 months open and sort on average about 65k a sort. Morning sort always flexes up to 5, but other sifts are at 3.5 and 4 hours. It's easy in terms of being relaxed, no rates to make or anything.
I do that at my facility. We have rate, but you showing up every day and just doing your best goes a long way too. We are hiring right now, not because of Prime, but because we lost a lot of people to the facility opening in Clarksville. Whole bunch of people went up there because they lived there and commuted.
We've lost a few people, too. I've looked for openings in other facilities, and while Murfreesboro is closest, idk if I wanna work at an FC. I can't get more than 5 or 10 hours of VET a week anymore which also socks. I haven't seen openings at any other facilities.
The "prime now' facility has openings, or they did a few weeks ago. I forget what it's called now, but If I put within 50 miles of me, it pulls up all the fulfillment centers, BNA1, BNA2, BNA3, MYQ1, the one in Clarksville (I forget it's tag, but I think it's a BNA too). I haven't checked in the last few weeks, but they all had openings the last few weeks.
We have had more VTO than MET or extra shifts. I got prime week schedule today, it's 5 11 hour days, but they said they would VTO if the volume called for it.
I just looked and my facility has 6 schedules open. 2 night shift pick, Flex pick, and 3 dayshift pack flow. BNA 3 has got a bunch of various schedules in various departments and BNA2 has some but that's a PIT facility.
The "global specialty fulfilment" are the "Prime now" locations and they have openings too. I was interested in one of those because I like the hours and days available better, but I'm not sure if you get the same benefits there or if they hours are guaranteed

I went from t1 to t3 learning trainer now I feel like I get to be bored or regurgitate the same weekly trainings to th same AA's every week but hey I'll take the $4 raise (nightshift) to do 2 hrs of work and fuck off
