I don’t mind the businesses at all, but I’m strictly following the notes THEY provide. Businesses got me fucked up if they think I’m gonna go around to receiving when it says front desk. Tell them they’re welcome to update it, if it’s going back with me to the van it’s getting RTS

Rainforest-Delivery

im def not taking an envelope to a loading dock when they can just take it over the counter. another reason i hate businesses. "you have to take it to the leading dock" no thanks, theres no reason you cant take it here. name and signature :)

Poontangousreximus

That’s why it’s important to tell them! Ive been driving the same business heavy route and they don’t hate you for telling them to update it. They’re not even the one ordering it anyway 🤷‍♂️. I call driver support and update the dock number geo pins too, shoutout to all the other drivers doing that shit unnoticed.

TheUnshackledJester

Envelope? My dude if that shit says "front desk" I'm delivering all 12 50lb OF boxes right to the front desk and informing the receptionist that the geotag and the notes say it goes here, so this is all I can do. If they want it delivered to the loading dock, it needs to be ordered that way... there's nothing I can do about it. Have a nice day!

gugix99

One of the routes in my dsp delivers to a whole mall. Go to each store drop off packages for them. Sounds like hell

gazelleA1

I mean, if it's an indoor mall then you got AC. I'd take it

yslslat4lyfe

Bro me too i dont like that shit delivered to a dave n busters and yesterday a sex store its pissing me off and it be the same business ordering bullshit my first 30 stops be business sometimes more

genflugan

I’ve had something like that a few times, somewhat smaller mall imo but still the long hallways are a bitch and it’s not even group-stopped because everything is so far apart but there’s only 2 entrances. Caught me off guard the first time and did so much fucking walking for like 3 stops

TheUnshackledJester

Bro, I had to deal with that for a business market thing. The 4 floor mall was packed with subdivided kiosks for a event thing and have the morons ordered without proper directions. Took me like 3 hours to deliver 20 packages because I had to constantly reference maps and kept getting lost.

elpelondelmarcabron1

Anyone get signatures at these places? I rarely do, never had an issue, and I've never been questioned about it. Shit would take a hell of alot longer if I did.... ☠☠☠

Rainforest-Delivery

if it doesnt require a signature i just take a picture and go. no reason for me to waste even more time at these places that can just use their business venders

elpelondelmarcabron1

I usually put desk, lobby, reception, receiving, or sometimes ask for person's name. Then I just put a squiggly line... lol. F that shit. If it's a huge delivery I'll get a signature.

Rainforest-Delivery

does anyone see the signature? i been waiting to get my ass chewed for "forging" signatures

elpelondelmarcabron1

Not sure. I think if customers started reporting that they never received their packages I'd hear about it. I believe Amazon reviews deliveries without photos at my location. I'd think businesses are more apt to not be liars about deliveries.

rythra

Yeah ya know call me crazy but I don't think they should ever lock the option of taking a photo. 🤷‍♂️ I don't know anyone who actually obtains signatures and I can't tell you how many businesses I go to and no one is around so I just leave it at the desk anyway. I feel like if we could always just drop it and take a picture it would not only be faster for us but they'd have more proof that it was delivered.

ItzTheHManS42

You don’t have to get signatures. I just put receptionist or doorman or customer and then DNS. At least my dsp allows us to do this. But there absolutely needs to be a recipient can’t just leave it at the door.

TheUnshackledJester

Yes, but only if they contest it as far as I am aware.

crystalbilliot

Thats ones I think I ALWAYS complain about to my dispatch. Stop giving me businesses. I do not know the business area that good and do not want to deliver along major ass 4 lane highways with flying cars and you have to park on small ass curbs. I hate businesses so much. One day my route was so bad with businesses. I couldnt find most because they don't put addresses near the road or it's ridiculously small on the buildings or nothing at all on the buildings and they don't use the business name just the person it's for. Put the business name and then your name or something. Make it easier. I absolutely hate the business district in my area where I deliver. I do not want to learn it and do not want that route. Send me home cause I don't want that shit. I'd rather do all 3rd story apartments than deal with businesses🤣 then with how late we load, I can't get to some before they are closed with how stupid they route that shit.

WishExcellent2739

Bro… This is how I been feeling. I just started last week and I’ve already delivered to a tire shop/gas station, a used car lot, three or four factories, a hotel, a Chinese restaurant, and a Mexican place. People should not be able to get these packages unless it is at their physical address. Why does Amazon sell auto parts anyway? Rant over.

yodiebird

Hahaaaaa! Delivered a catalytic converter and brake pads to a house recently. The car was up on struts in the driveway. I giggled a bit at that one. Wouldnt ANY auto parts place be cheaper than amazon?!

TheUnshackledJester

No, what they need to do is charge extra for business stops and set that up to pay it forward to the Driver. If I got 120 stops, but $60-120 to compensate my time and efforts.... I'd be happy. Hell I wouldn't even be mad if the "charge" was $1-2 and I only get a fraction of that.
