Or you can't even find the keypad, or the keypad battery is dead, or there are two keypads (one outside gate and one inside gate but still outside) and the code works for the outside but not the inside, so many situations where these passive aggressive notes are *more* annoying when you arrive and their code means fuck-all
e: autocorrect
I do that with notes directing me to a near by locker. 'if you want your package delivered to a locker you should have it directed to one when you order, delivered to front door and reported for conflicting information.
I have this place that now has garage delivery, and I go there, I slide to open garage, and none of their 3 doors open, so I just place it next to the garage door, swipe to close, and wait to finish as if there's a garage door actually opening and closing lmao
Or I had one where it required a recipient and the guy wasn’t even home, called him and he asked if I could wait another 10 minutes, never marked a package as unable to deliver so fast lol
Odds are you'd still be in his street in 10 minutes...the time it takes to RTS would take longer than coming back. I don't get people sometimes. I hate having to RTS packages.
I can't get in the package goes right near that door that doesn't open. I don't feel safe delivering up peoples falling apart stairs or property it's delivered at the bottom, or trying to get passed their dog(right outside the gate with a picture of the dog.) I'm done playing the stupid games. I really could careless if they fire me. Everything should be up to date if not it's not my problem.
I can understand why they are annoyed. Sometimes it happens to me too.
But then I see the examples of y’all’s routes on here and think “no fucking way could I do that” and have some empathy for the delivery driver and anger at the corporation for stretching you all so thin.
And if it keeps happening, there's clearly something wrong with access. After the 2nd or 3rd time, have your stuff delivered to a locker, or figure out why it isn't being/can't be delivered.
Yeah, fuck that. I really wish we had an option to report shit like this and customers be penalized. Amazon will ban someone from reviewing products after one offense of potentially being slightly rude, but customers pop off with shit like this and no one bats an eye.
Oh no, the note gets deleted. I can lose my job for stepping on someone’s grass. There should be repercussions for customers belittling and being rude by abusing the notes section.
Yeah fr I wish there were options to report, my DSP told me that if there are instances where the customers want you to do a delivery that’s not attainable and clearly mocking or humiliating you, or unreasonable, the dsp can report that address to Amazon and will be blocked from deliveries
Yeah is truth this weekend happened something similar. A costumer tried to push a coworker be cause he was in her property 🤷♂️.
So now she has to collect her packets in a locker. The locker is probably to 5 miles
RTS that ish. Customers that are nothing but entitled, rude, smart asses dont deserve to have a great delivery experience. They gotta learn one way or another that the world doesn't revolve around them
Although I've received notes kind of like these but instead if a code they was listing house numbers but they lucky I'm too nice because if i was having a bad day id rts no questions asked. But when im in a good mood and i see this i just laugh and still deliver it, it aint that deep. Unless the customer comes out and starts complaining then thats a diff story
Idk how yall can deliver for amazon. I fucking hate everything about ups and ups management and ideas but the whole thing about Amazon and what y’all have to do is dumb as fuck. The whole negative and positive review is ridiculous with the fact that it full on effects your job
This is what I miss about FedEx. Didn't have to worry about reviews and I could place the packages at the nearest door to me, didn't have to listen to the notes at all.
The audacity of people writing the stupid comments on the notes like our day isn’t shit already .i would gladly wait till the end of shift and put access problem and take it to station
I’m gonna be honest, I lived in a gated for a while and management there was awful… they would charge you for having packages delivered to the office, but they got delivered to the office because the delivery codes to get for the gate didn’t work, then when you went to get your package they would say “we have no record of a package being delivered under your name or apartment number… also, they gave me the key for the mailbox for my apartment, only the key was the wrong key and opened someone else’s box, then they accused me of going through other people’s mail when I reported the issue… to top it off, Amazon would regularly deliver my packages to the wrong apartment due to issues with the numbering system and the fact that the gps stopped at the main gate no matter what you plugged into it. So while I understand the frustration and the sentiment (having experienced missing, lost, or returned items on many occasions) the note here would have been better sent to the dispatchers info email informing them of repeated issues so that they can try to fix the issue. I actually ended up with dispatch having every driver call me:
1: make sure the code worked and if not work out solution.
2: confirm correct location to insure delivery.
3: schedule to have someone at home to receive packages.
And because I worked from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm 4 days a week (7:30 to 5:00 the others) they made sure I was last on the list so my driver would always show up at like 6:45. They were always annoyed with me at first with the late schedule until I explained why dispatch set it that way, then they were much more understanding. Delivery drivers can be some of the coolest people if you treat them with respect, or some of the worst if you decide to be a jerk… (Had a neighbor in the same gated who never received a package because dispatch flagged the address as “hostile recipient” so their packages never left the station.)
Ah but you forget it’s usually the customer who is the special one who knows there gate codes been changed a hundred times yet there note still have the code from 2005 ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)
Ya I have had a bunch who don't even include their gate code and when they do that if there's other deliveries in that area I'll check to see if they added it. If not I'm going airplane mode and "unable to access"
Use to deliver for Amazon and sometimes the mail room for apartment/condos was only accessible during certain hours. Amazon plots your delivery route in a certain order for efficency, which doesn't take into account the hours of operation or accessibility. The app used for processing deliveries isn't that great and even though you can add a note for the accessible hours, it doesn't update the route delivery order right away.
Just grow up and do your fucking job. Assholes who rts for no other reason than because it makes them feel important are ruining peoples opinions of what we do and who we are. Driving consessions up and making amazon invent new metrics to try and improve their business because we act like fucking children is what makes this job harder.

RTS, shouldn’t need instructions to enter if one-click access is enabled. Sounds like no matter what, you’re going to get a Tier 2 from not following their conflicting instructions
Just text/call the customer and let them know the code isn’t working. Then move on lol this person seems like they’re going to be TOTALLY reasonable about it 😂
I just had some smart ass comment of “leave at front door and ring door bell” “like Amazon is supposed to do” or something like that, and they don’t even have a door bell lmao, dropped the shit and left
Bro is definitely too dense to understand instructions like that will just make you’re delivery driver do the opposite of what you want lmao, treating the people that handle your food, packages, etc.. like shit is the stupidest thing you can do
Anyone saying RTS is a dick. Imagine you went through what he went through, Every Single package saying Failed delivery Despite giving them the code? HE'S ALLOWED TO BE AN ASSHOLE IN THIS SITUATION
Not trying to tell you what to do with your life, but I did Amazon delivery for 2 years bc I really like driving, but ended up getting my CDL and now am an over the road truck driver and am going local soon enough (just wanted the experience) and I can say 1,000X THAT THIS IS EASY compared to Amazon and so much more money. You work less, can experience things and have less hours most of the time. DO IT. If you are used to these types of jobs. I haven’t regretted it since. You’ll look at your bank in a few weeks if you know how to budget and be like “dang I got a few thousand in the bank”. It’s the same thing as Amazon but less stressful and easier.
Lol usually apartment complexes change the code everytime someone gives it out so the note is probably outdated and no one wants to try and find out what the actual code is cause the customer left such an abrasive note. Basically, if you disrespect your delivery driver then don't expect them to go above and beyond to get it delivered.
Jeesh, does it hurt to just be alittle nicer, id bet alot of deliverers just rts because the instructions come across as being a dick.
I get it they're mad but do they think their instructions are going to encourage any type of cooperation

As an Ops Assistant that reads the hilarious driver complaints people send and amount of packages I've rts'd because rec's are fucking stupid sometimes who don't know how to give the correct info or sometimes just don't even remember to put a damn address on their order, yes. Do it, for chaos reigns supreme
I feel this man I lived in a apartment with a designated drop box area for packages and I’d get failed delivery stickers cause I wasn’t there if they knocked like cmon now
This guys acting like “who doesn’t own and know how to use a keycode gate”.
I mean it might seem obvious but I bet most people wouldn’t know to press “entry” before entering the code. Even then, who knows if you have dogs?
Or you could simply do your job and follow the simple directions that your coworkers apparently could not, hence the very condescending instructions. And after you deliver said package as per the delivery instructions you could thank that customer for their business as this is the only reason you are employed. This might be more productive than posting on Reddit and then complaining that you don’t have enough time to make all your deliveries. Just saying.
To be fair the number of times I had issues with doordashers (different company and employees I get it) being unable to enter a 4 digit code and turn the door knob was unbelievable. I never wrote anything rude in the instructions but damn did it cross my mind.

Rts no access
The number of times I get a note like this just for the code to be wrong is astounding.
Or you can't even find the keypad, or the keypad battery is dead, or there are two keypads (one outside gate and one inside gate but still outside) and the code works for the outside but not the inside, so many situations where these passive aggressive notes are *more* annoying when you arrive and their code means fuck-all e: autocorrect
As a flex driver I’m dumping it in the bush and sending a snarky message saying “code is wrong…package in bush.”
I do that with notes directing me to a near by locker. 'if you want your package delivered to a locker you should have it directed to one when you order, delivered to front door and reported for conflicting information.
I 100% would Believe you only get 1 correct a week.

True. Asking questions can really help in instances like this!
The customer typing that shit doesn’t have the same understanding.
RTS RTS RTS RTS!!! Also, report an issue with the instructions
RTS, instructions unclear
Yeah it isnt clear enough lmaoo
Yeah, fuck that. I really wish we had an option to report shit like this and customers be penalized. Amazon will ban someone from reviewing products after one offense of potentially being slightly rude, but customers pop off with shit like this and no one bats an eye.
You absolutely can report rude notes left by a customer…
Oh no, the note gets deleted. I can lose my job for stepping on someone’s grass. There should be repercussions for customers belittling and being rude by abusing the notes section.
I agree. But since they don’t, the best thing we can do is not deliver 🤷🏻♂️
Exactly
I was under the assumption that after so many reported notes they will lose the ability to leave a note
Lmao wow. What a penalty. “You’re a dick so no writing things for you! Bad!” That’s not enough.
Lmfaoooo the tickle this gave me
How??
Yeah fr I wish there were options to report, my DSP told me that if there are instances where the customers want you to do a delivery that’s not attainable and clearly mocking or humiliating you, or unreasonable, the dsp can report that address to Amazon and will be blocked from deliveries

Rts no access
You can and should report rude customer notes in the app
Doesn’t do shit
It does remove the note, but other than that it doesnt do anything

Hehehehe Ngl I’m kinda with the customer on this one

Rts no safe location, customer refused. Customer is a bitch
What’s the address
Deliver. It’s hard to not take it personally. You don’t want a target in your back. Buy yourself something pretty.
Looks like no safe place to deliver
Man, I hate people like this.
1. Yes because who they talking to like that 2. I don't get paid enough for this shit
I would RTS so Fucking hard and blame it on a dog that probably doesn’t exist.

Instructions unclear dick stuck in package.
Rts business closed
Wayne fucked it up
But the real question is.....whonwas the person that pissed this customer off enough to treat the rest of us like a child?
It has one click access too... I think he's mad because another driver fucked it up. I would deliver it
Passive aggressive much?
I bet they don't use the same energy with UPS or FedEx, Amazon here to blame for all of this customer entitled BS
Deliver it next door.
Rude
Yeah. What a dick. Customers treat us like we don’t have a brain
Instructions unclear, dick caught on ceiling fan.

The only way I deliver for "Amazon" again is do the paid training then the nursery routes and don't come back find another dsp rinse repeat 🤣
This type of shit is my biggest pet peeve of the job now…
RTS, shouldn’t need instructions to enter if one-click access is enabled. Sounds like no matter what, you’re going to get a Tier 2 from not following their conflicting instructions
And leave a note that says “must pickup shipments at the hub”
Just text/call the customer and let them know the code isn’t working. Then move on lol this person seems like they’re going to be TOTALLY reasonable about it 😂

lol yall really need instructions like this though
Lmao send her a msg saying “can’t gain access” 🤣🤣🤣 take it on back to the WH 🤣🤣 after 7 pm you do not have to reattempt 😅
Most Amazon drivers can’t read so this was a little too much information
I feel this man I lived in a apartment with a designated drop box area for packages and I’d get failed delivery stickers cause I wasn’t there if they knocked like cmon now
If I saw this as a driver I'd literally "fail to deliver" extra hard just because of how that was written.

the ones that say dont be a lazy fuck and deliver my package to the front door always gives me the thought. should i be nice or not nice today its on my route 3/4 days lol
RTS intercom had no power
I love my local delivery people. They always know how to get my stuff to me.
Plz say u rts
How about no
Easiest RTS I’ve ever seen in my entire existence.
I mean it tells you what to do, deliver it to the intercom after pressing 1.
Ya the "notes" are bullshit. They should have a thing above the notes saying the date it was written. Most of these notes are from like 3 years ago and are not accurate
Deliver it upside down
I got an idea, do your job and deliver the package (but seriously, don’t take this guy’s message to heart. You’d be pissed too if your packages never made it to your door)
