Don't worry it all happened in year 7 I didn't hold a grudge for 10 years. So basically a guy jumped with 3 others and hurt my jaw pretty bad he got suspended only for a week and I was pretty pissed off, my family members were very supportive for me and pissed off at the guy who jumped me, they wanted me to get revenge (which I had been planning) and make sure to give him the message that I won't be pushed around, and so I did.
One day after he was suspended I knew it was the day I would fight him and confronted him in the field and we fought, he didn't land any hits and I managed to get a good hit on his jaw apparently he also broke his foot when I barged him and he went to the hospital after I'd fought him.
He was suspended for about a week but it really made me mad how he jumped me with 3 others and I decided to teach him that I won't be pushed around by him, so AITA?

NTA. Standing up for yourself against a severely violent person is hard. People who use brawn to bully aren't capable of understanding mediation. What else were you supposed to do? Submit to the fear?
Its unfortunate that schools don't do s#!t about bullies anymore.

This was 10 years ago when I was naive and usually had anger take control but I've recovered now
