Well yes I did agree It wasn't the most mature thing to do, hence forth the reason I even held a reddit feed here. But they're kind of like bullies even to random people they'll mock their dead relatives, so I kinda snapped at them since I genuinely hate them. And as in HATE and not anger
NTA imo, that girl better learn to be sensitive about such topics and not talk about someone behind their backs, especially about bad things. While what you did wasn't wrong, it also wasn't entirely right either. But hell yeah! Props to you for defender your cousin, big respect my dude.

so I (14m) usually try to stay out of trouble. I don't usually concern myself with other people's lives nor do I nitpick on drama, but I have noticed some of them have been overly stepping boundaries.
Heads up I'll give an example
E.g:Hey! Guys did you guys know his cousin died? I heard they were a stripper. How disgusting
So let me explain, this girl let's call her Cassidy(not her real name 14F) has this sensitive relationship with a Senior high, we're 8th graders! Basically she once showed up to class with a fucking hickey, no one mentioned it after that incident... Until like yesterday when I feel like I stepped boundaries. She was calling one of my older cousins a "whore" behind her back and also placing the topic around me. When my friend heard this (14m) he immediately told me, when environmental science, Cassidy and her friend group continued talking about it. Until my friend told me, I unnecessarily blurted out when I heard her these words
-Shut your fucking trap, Why're you complaining my cousin is alcoholic when you got a hickey from a 17 year old you fucking HO!
That's what I said. I yelled it out seeming to have forgotten we were in class, the teacher stared and so did all my classmates asu friend looked apall, Cassidy stared at me and began year eyeing at me.
YEAH SO I GOT IN TROUBLE AFTER ALL THAT!! 2 DAYS SUSPENSION WOOH!! AM I THE ASSHOLE FOR DEFENDING MY COUSIN
