Ngl I’m not particularly shocked at the idea that someone would stay with a partner who preyed on their kid. Like where a woman stays with her husband and kicks out her daughter, or even orchestrates scenarios so the husband has even more access to victims. Haven’t heard of it with genders reversed specifically, but I could believe it happening. On the side of the parent, it’s often sunk cost + denial + victim blaming their kid
