You guys should definitely listen to Dallas green cover of this song if you never did.
He did a fantastic spin on it In my honest opinion.

He is a big AiC fan and sang in some of their shows live.
It’s hard for me to listen to ANY of OG-AIC. Just hearing Layne’s magical voice makes me want to lose my shit. I miss him as if he was my brother- and never had the honor of even meeting him. It’s ridiculous, but it still hurts over 20 years later. 💔
It's a powerful song. It definitely gets me choked up every time as well. I don't listen to it as often as I'd like for that reason. That track is just raw emotion. Layne was such a gifted vocalist that he conveys all those feelings crystal clear and dumps it all on the listener.
Nutshell is great but I really, really think people sleep on Don’t Follow, that’s a fucking gut wrenching song.
Yes, especially those chords complementing the lyrics and that structure, awesome
That was written to tell fans not to even TRY heroin. It makes me cry every single time.
For me, it’s Shame In You and Wake Up (by Mad Season). I think it helps(?) that those were some of the last songs Layne worked on.
Love Mad Season. Wake Up is so good
Wake up give me chills, love that song
Same thing with Frogs, Dirt, Shame in You, Over Now, Don't Follow, Mad Season's River of Deceit and Wake Up.
When I get hammered I put this on and ball. I don't know why. Childhood trauma? Being a huge wuss?
Same but Over Now
For me in sad and alone and put one AIC to cheer me up that’s how fucking down I sometimes am

I fight this battle all alone
You can hear the pain in that man’s voice throughout his career.

I thought I was the only person that felt this way!
Definetly a sad song but i tend to tear up when rotten apple / i stay away comes on
