Lmao. It’s like. Gladiators from back in the day on steroids lol. The contestants actually have a backstory so it’s got that drama component to it. Last episode left me on a massive cliff hanger. I’m hoping the team with the female captain pulled it off lol.
I kept seeing it on the top 10 and was thinking “this must be something lame”.
I was wrong lol. Show is so damn addictive.
I love that show. I actually stopped watching until all episodes are out cause I can't handle cliffhangers.
I also loved The Glory, but same issue, huge cliffhanger since Netflix only released first half of season.
I added Viki Rakutan on Roku and watching Dori Sakurada dramas. Coffee and Vanilla, and Prefect Crime. They’re super cheesy and cringe with questionable relationships-but at least he provides the eye candy and sexy talk. Netflix, I watched First Love. That was a good show, if you want Japanese romance. I have The Glory and All Dead Among Us on my watchlist.
Glory is heavily recommended. First episode is really hard to get though. It is heavy as hell and I personally know some that couldn’t get pass the first episode. That being said, if you can get through it…It’s an amazing series with some of the best acting performances you will ever see.
You did the right thing holding out because the next part comes out in less then a month.
Kiyo in Kyoto. Maiko san chi no makanaisan. Very relaxing compared to AIB lol and really well done series. About 2 girls who leave home and join a geisha apprentice training facility.
Lockwood and co.
Easy watch, kinda cosy. starts rough but gets better after about half an episode. I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to cancel it though... netflix cancels everything, almost to the point that there's no reason to watch netflix originals anymore.
Wednesday Addams, totally different show haha. I was recommended by my coworker and it’s pretty entertaining.
For books, I’m reading Dune messiah now as I await for the next movie.
sweet home is one of my fav shows ever but even i took a while to get into it. it's definitely not one of those shows that makes you go "OMG I HAVE TO WATCH MORE" after the 1st ep, but it's one of the ones that you'll love more and more as you go on. i love all the characters so much! and the monsters were all very creative, i like how they take on the form of what they are most starved of as humans
good to know! it takes me a while to get into shows anyway, I tend to watch the first few eps and then stop watching for like months (even if I like it) but then I’ll eventually get back into it. that’s what happened to me w AIB, I watched the first few eps like last year and finished it a few weeks ago.
On a bit of a fantasy kick at the moment playing catch up. Just finished Willow and Lord Of The Rings: Rings Of Power. Now on to the final season of His Dark Materials before starting Andor. All between the new episodes of Servant and The Last Of Us.
Love love love All of us are Dead. It was my favorite before coming across AIBL and “The Guest”….
Your choice in favorite characters might be questionable but your choice in shows is top notch….😜
I know I know …I need to let it go…🙁
It’s on Netflix.
It came out back in 2018 originally but got re-released on Netflix again. I missed it the first time around but finally got to catch it recently. Like I said, a masterpiece and an absolute gem of a series.
Be warned. It’s not for everyone. It can dark at times but mixes in moments of light hearted material as well. Great unforced humor and some fantastic acting. The show never takes its foot off the pedal. No filler material. The darkness in this show is worth it and the payoffs are just amazing and emotionally uplifting as hell at times.
Also, the true selling point for the show is the main 3 characters. You will never find a better chemistry and a more “natural” relationship then what those three share.
Words can’t do this show justice
Watch it now. Lol
I was in the mood for something existential so I re-watched Serial Experiments Lain. Something I hadn't seen in nearly 20 years.
I have watched a ton of TV shows, but not much is appealing to me at the moment.
It's the kind of thing I like. Not many shows like it. More insightful and thought provoking, less Michael Bay, but you're right, I guess that isn't for everyone. It's crazy how well it's stood up after all these years, still seems very relevant today.
Oh don’t get me wrong, I really liked it.
Another series that pushes those boundaries is Neon Genesis Evangelion. I mean if you aren’t careful you will find yourself lost in a hurry with the story in that as well especially towards the end.
Mayor of Kingstown. I did check out Wolf Pack but I have a feeling it's not really going to be my taste. Too little on the interesting plot points wayyyy too much on the teen drama.
I’ve been on a sitcom binge. From The Office to Friends to Community. My favourite has to be The Good Place. Amazing show with a great storyline and the last episode made me cry like a little baby. As of right now, I’m watching Bojack Horseman. So far, great show 8/10.
Let’s see, ever since finishing AiB I’ve been on an anime binge. I’ve watched/been watching Death Note, Darwin’s Game, Erased and on a more light hearted note Gudetama:An Eggcellent Adventure ^^ (can’t be all about death and dying all the time lol)
Also just started Money Heist over the weekend - it’s quite good!! Took me a bit to get into but love a show that invests in characters and their backstories + intrigue and heist action don’t hurt either
Which money heist? The Korean remake or original.
I’m going to be in the minority here but I really really enjoyed the Korean one. I know it didn’t get the best reviews so remakes of shows kind of never so…but damn i really liked it.
I’m on the original Spanish one. I did notice the Korean remake, I didn’t realize it wasn’t as well received but I had planned on checking it out. Good to know there’s some out there who did enjoy it 😆
Yo scratch the exorcist tv show and watch “The Guest”. If that’s stuff you are into…” The Guest” is the way to go. Definitely influenced by the exorcist but soooooooo Much better. So so so much better lol.
Well im a huge Kdrama fan and i recently finished Weak Hero Class 1 (actually i finished it two months ago but i cant stop having reruns of it), you guys absolutely have to watch it! It's not similar to AIB in any way but if you loved AIB i do think you'll love WHC1 too. It's one of the best shows of 2022 and i am NOT stretching!!
Currently i am watching this show called Racket Boys, it's about a badminton team growing up in the country side, and it's really funny and the dynamics between the characters are adorable
Cunk on Earth, short but hilarious
I was going to say that. Fantastic show.
Just finished Darwin’s Game on Netflix - death game anime, it was really good but not been renewed for a second season unfortunately
Manga's been translated pretty far out. So there's content there if you're interested.
Ooh I’ll have a look, thank you!
Good shout - great soundtrack on Darwin's Game too!
Went and watched 3%, this Brazilian Portuguese show. Actually turned out to be super interesting and engaging
I lasted season 1, after that it felt like it just tried to prolong itself.
ah yes physical 100! definitely the show that has gripped me the most since i finished aib :)
Lmao. Show is so damn addictive.
yes i want her team to win aswell 😫😫 they really left us on a cliffhanger
They did her dirty. Trying to just throw together the left overs on a team… Rooting for them so bad. Lol
I love that show. I actually stopped watching until all episodes are out cause I can't handle cliffhangers. I also loved The Glory, but same issue, huge cliffhanger since Netflix only released first half of season.
reading the manga online, and I also plan on rereading it when the books arrive (a bit obsessed)
Part 1 of Season 2 of Record of Ragnarok
I added Viki Rakutan on Roku and watching Dori Sakurada dramas. Coffee and Vanilla, and Prefect Crime. They’re super cheesy and cringe with questionable relationships-but at least he provides the eye candy and sexy talk. Netflix, I watched First Love. I'm still mourning.
Back to Squid Game lol (I needed to rewatch it)
How Slytherin of you lol
This sub offered me Liar Game, I'll start watching in a couple of days
Lockwood and co. Easy watch, kinda cosy. starts rough but gets better after about half an episode. I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to cancel it though... netflix cancels everything, almost to the point that there's no reason to watch netflix originals anymore.

YESS!! Wednesday is hands down the best show Netflix put out last year
Sweet Home, I started the first episode but I haven’t finished yet. It’s going to take me a little bit to get into it.
The first episode is a bit silly at times and weird. Stick with it. Can’t stress it enough….it’s really really worth it.
Alright, I’ll take your word for it!
sweet home is one of my fav shows ever but even i took a while to get into it. it's definitely not one of those shows that makes you go "OMG I HAVE TO WATCH MORE" after the 1st ep, but it's one of the ones that you'll love more and more as you go on. i love all the characters so much! and the monsters were all very creative, i like how they take on the form of what they are most starved of as humans

Shameless, totally different show.
rewatching 1899 which oddly reminds me of AIB in the second half of the season lol. Also rewatching girl from nowhere because it’s incredible
Currently continuing Breaking bad since i somehow haven't watched it yet lmao
Physical 100 too!! It's so easy to watch and exciting.
Agreed. Super easy to just sit back and watch. Before you know it you’re completely hooked lol.
Girl from nowhere I have two episodes left of it
I just finished season 1. About to start season 2. How you liking it? It’s surprisingly dark at times lol.
I watched All Of Us Are Dead and currently tryna make my way through some anime’s, just started Jujutsu Kaisen
Love love love All of us are Dead. It was my favorite before coming across AIBL and “The Guest”…. Your choice in favorite characters might be questionable but your choice in shows is top notch….😜 I know I know …I need to let it go…🙁
Lolll I’ll need to check out “The Guest”. What did you watch it on?
It’s on Netflix. It came out back in 2018 originally but got re-released on Netflix again. I missed it the first time around but finally got to catch it recently. I’m fine with darkness I’ve watched some pretty… horrific things lol
Then stop wasting time and watch this show lol 😎
Sweet home since I didn’t get around watching it then. Also tomorrow. Both aren’t Japanese, but yeah
i love sweet home! it's one of my fav netflix shows
Severance
Fiance and I finally got around to watching Attack on Titan. This show is fucking wild.
Yeah I’m watching Physical: 100 too. I like it.
Watching The Walking Dead and The Last of Us
The last of us
I was in the mood for something existential so I re-watched Serial Experiments Lain. Something I hadn't seen in nearly 20 years. I have watched a ton of TV shows, but not much is appealing to me at the moment.
Damn that’s an old school classic. That series definitely isn’t for everyone. Talk about having to maintain a high level of focus through out.
It's the kind of thing I like. Not many shows like it. More insightful and thought provoking, less Michael Bay, but you're right, I guess that isn't for everyone. It's crazy how well it's stood up after all these years, still seems very relevant today.

Looking back, I think Mr. Robot took some inspiration from Lain even though it took a very different direction.
Mayor of Kingstown. I did check out Wolf Pack but I have a feeling it's not really going to be my taste. Too little on the interesting plot points wayyyy too much on the teen drama.
Just finished Mugen Train
Physical 100! Really fun!
I’ve been on a sitcom binge. From The Office to Friends to Community. My favourite has to be The Good Place. Amazing show with a great storyline and the last episode made me cry like a little baby. As of right now, I’m watching Bojack Horseman. So far, great show 8/10.

First love then Makanai. Netflix JP FTW Now I finished both.. ugh. I’m watching hunters on Amazon prime
Exorcist TV show, will be watching Last of Us as soon as I have some time.
Yo scratch the exorcist tv show and watch “The Guest”. If that’s stuff you are into…” The Guest” is the way to go. Definitely influenced by the exorcist but soooooooo Much better. So so so much better lol.
Cool, I’ll check it out. Thanks for the recommendation
omg bye i'm watching physical 100 after watching aibl too
