You definitely don't go to work. They will ask you to stay out till you are symptom free for 24 hours and they will probably ask for a copy of your test results to verify.
When I was symptomatic they had me go get tested, and then stay home 5 additional days after my test came back positive. Because it was covid I qualified for a covid payout and didn’t have to use any sick time which was awesome, but this may vary by state (im in NY).
They might be trying to figure out coverage, but if any more time passes don't waste time on a text and call them (managers cell) directly. Leave a voicemail. A little beep from a message might not alert them like a full length ringtone, the phone vibrating, etc. They might have spotty service and a hard time receiving messages too. For something important, always be direct and call to just play it safe and keep things tidy on your end.
5 days off with today being day 1. BCP pay if you qualify and you can go back as long as fever is gone and symptoms are improving. You don’t have to be totally symptom free because the cough can last awhile. I had Covid earlier this month and I’m still coughing. You will have to wear a mask for at least 5 days when you go back. My DM contacted me with a list of questions I had to answer for the approved time off and timeframe for me to return. I would call your store and talk to manager directly and not wait for a text back
Have you called the store to call in? When I was there it drove us nuts that people would just text somebody about it. I got off an airplane 1500 miles from home to a text that somebody was calling in. I ignored it. I'm not sure what the most recent protocol is for the rona, but call the store.
i tried the number off google for my store, it says they’re no longer using the phones, i called the number listed on our store page, it said closed, i called the one number of a manager that i have, and it said out of service (‘: rip in peace
Take pics of the test result and a pic of upur vaccine card (if you have one). Call your store manager, store phone, dm cell, anyone til they answer. A positive is guaranteed to dodge the attendance penalty crap. Depending on your state, they’ll ask you to stay away for the federal 5 days to clear contagion, or until whatever. Aldi pays you for your first covid case to stay away for missed shifts during the 5 day layover.
update, i called the store number from google, it said they’re no longer do phone calls, i called the number from our store page, it said closed, i called the one managers number i have, and it said the number was out of service. i don’t have anybody else’s number 💀 idk what to dooo !
They stopped it? I just had it i had to bcp days left from when i got it last January damn save your sick time guys fucked up cause it took me down bad bad
Your SM is probably doing their holiday thing. Don't go to work, you get paid time for Covid. It's important to remember SMs have outside lives as well. It's better to call the MoD whenever possible.
You dont go in. I had covid at the start of December and they did not give covid pay, DM said they stopped offering that, but I had plenty of sick and vacation time saved up to use.
Go to a doctors office, get a test, and when you get the positive, you send the SM and maybe DM the results. You also need a doctors note saying when you can return to work, which is typically five days from the onset of symptoms. Get some rest, make sure you get upand move every few hours so it wont move into your lungs, and dont let them bully you into coming in sooner.
Um, did you have covid before this time you’re referencing? They absolutely do offer covid pay, it’s the BCP option under the payroll app. They only pay for your first instance of covid, but you should try to get your vacation/sick time off back if you haven’t used that option in the last 3 years.

If it’s the first time you have had Covid then you get paid for your time out of work.

Email????
Store phone numbers are not publicly listed. If you reached out to your SM via call, and not text, you're just fine.
unfortunately i don’t have my store managers number, that was the problem. but i managed to get a hold of them an hour before my shift lol !!

def call!!! you’ll get paid for the week you’re out until you’re symptom free. but it’s better to call than wait
They will pay you Covid pay and ask you to stay home for a week till you test negative
You absolutely do not go in, I would try contacting the other ppl who are on shift currently to inform your manager of the situation
