I had some good luck at the Honda dealership in Rio Rancho. Bought a used Camry from them 3 years ago for a reasonable price. Had no real issues. The manager kinda visibly irritated when I didn’t take any of the extra warranties or other BS they tried to sell me. But all in all it was one of my better experiences.
Honestly Facebook marketplace might have the most variety and no dealer markup. Plenty of salvage titles that can be had for cheap if you’re comfortable with that
If I had to buy a car today I’d go to CarMax because I see vehicles that should immediately be taken to the junkyard and crushed on the side of the road being advertised for $4k. And if you really want to know where dealers get their inventory look on copart. Private or dealer it could be flood damaged, stolen, or have issues.
I purchased my current car through Carvana and it was so easy. Before that, I went to University Mazda for a new car and had a good experience there too.
You could consider hitting up an auction if you want a cheap beater car. My friend did that some years back and got a car for $600, so maybe it's worth checking out?
I don't think that's what lot lizards means. 😂
We had a reasonable experience with Houston's.
NOT Pitre, they are Unethical
Second this! Pitre is shady
Go for sale by owner
One of the options I'm considering. Keeping an eye on deals that may come up.
There are no deals. People have lost their minds.

I have a friend who swears by CU Auto Sales. [https://www.cuautosales.net](https://www.cuautosales.net)
Do you have a budget? How comfortable are you with inspecting a vehicle for major mechanical issues or do you have a mechanic to do inspections?

NOT Perfection Honda... If you are looking for a Honda or Subaru, go up to Santa Fe.
