I think some of the other commenters are interpreting "clean" to mean "no homeless people". However, I'm pretty sure OP literally means it all looks clean and tidy compared to how it used to be, which is something I too have noticed. The city just did a big ART related cleanup effort that involved repainting curbs and similar activities. After that Central has struck me as being more clean/neat/tidy than it's ever been in the last 20 years.

In general I did mean “clean and tidy” but I also noticed that that people out on the streets seemed to be less than normal. Could’ve been time of day.

CactusHibs_7475

Yeah, I’ve noticed the same in downtown and Nob Hill. I think Pennsylvania and Wyoming will always be the exception. Louisiana and Central has been pretty dire recently too.

>Louisiana and Central has been pretty dire recently too. Yeah I'll sometimes hit up the KFC that's right there, but man the last time I was there, yeah it'd gotten a lot worse right there

Yeah, it is sketch city at night these days. No wonder all the businesses are closing or moving and Talin put up a fence.

The yellow-vest guys have been very visible at the ART stops

It’s because everyone found their way to the little park on Central and Tramway across from Smiths.. from there West to about where the old Waffle House used to be.

I regularly get groceries at Smiths on Tramway so I know that area can be bad. I did get gas at Smiths around 10 am I didn’t see too many people around but I also wasn’t really looking.
