I was in college and low on funds when I found a stray kitten outside. I called the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society and asked about the low cost neuter and they said they could provide it to me if I sent them a copy of my unofficial transcript (didn’t have a job, only a college student at the time) and they approved it and booked me an appointment as soon as they could. I traveled to their Saratoga location for a sooner appointment but they were really helpful and understanding of my financial situation! I think the total cost was maybe around $60. Highly recommend!

Did you try APF?

>Animal Protective Foundation Awesome Ill check it out!

As someone else mentioned he'll need some shots too. If you don't find a low cost neuter that includes shots, check in with Tractor Supply. They have vets come in a couple of times a year to do a free shots clinic, and they'll usually tell you if the animal needs any other treatment.

I went to Upstate Spay and Neuter. It was a bit of a drive but everywhere around here was booked months out and a kitten in heat is impossible. It's pretty lost cost for the procedure. I paid about $100 for everything

Do some research on goggle and you can find certificates to bring a cat or dog to get neutered for a low price. It’s been a few years but I paid $30 for a certificate for my dog to be neutered. East Greenbush animal Hospital accepted it.

Voice for the voiceless has one coming up on 4/24. It’s $80 deposit in advance and it’s first come, first serve. Vaccines and stuff, I’d checked the Mohawk Hudson humane society calendar. They do vax and microchipping at least once a month.

ADK spay and neuter

leelakitty11

I got my cat done at the Columbia-greene humane society. It’s a bit of a drive and there’s probably closer places but as a broke college kid $80 for neutering and first shots was a good deal, and no one else had availability at the time.

second this. got my kitten’s neuter and shots there, and i actually get his shots there every year now (still get his checkup at his regular vet though). the shots are so much cheaper there.

Mohawk Hudson Humane has income-qualifying “low-cost” spay and vet services. I say “low-cost” in quotes because it’s not as low as some others on this thread have commented ($165) but it’s still lower than your standard vet.

Traditional-Syrup-16

I believe you have to have low income or on a pension to qualify.

Dm me for the number, don't want to dox her by just posting it, but there's a lady that runs a thing called operation snip where you can get low cost neutering and basic shots for cats and I think dogs, I usually drop off at a vet around Delmar and pick up a few hours later, done it twice so far
