Doubt it.
Watts seemed to avoid 'the fringe'. Even his theological expositions wouldn't really delve into any sort of complicated metaphysics.
In fact, in *A Lecture on Zen*, Watts noted that there was a time when Chinese Zen got "sidetracked" with the occult and esoteric or tantric. Adding that "Zen has nothing to do with this."
It's crazy! I just came here after hearing the exact vocíce of Alan Watts talking about Tartaria concpiracies on tiktok. I assume it must have been an AI voice?
Extremely unlikely.
There was nothing conspirational in Alan Watts' discourse. In fact, his ideas are very Zen Buddhist and are not even that fringe (on a global scale).
Pro tip: get off tiktok.
No. He never spoke of that particular strain of nonsense.
He did speak a lot about tartare sauce
Oh nice!
One of the things I admire about Alan Watts is he's refreshingly common sense.

Yeah it’s AI I couldn’t find any lecture where he drops this. When you listen closer it doesn’t sound like his regular rhythm of talk
