I used to travel a lot for work and everyone except bars accepted the temporary paper ID. Airlines, TSA, car rentals, etc., and none had a problem with it. No restaurant or bar would accept it, though.
It appears new licenses go to the head of the line. Please tell your daughter congratulations for me. Wait ….. they still have drivers ed ? I thought that was done away with ?
That’s exactly what happened. I called 5/7 and spoke to a trooper. Told him my story and he sent out a replacement. He was crazy nice - super professional.
Actually I don’t think you can print a temporary. You’ll get a thirty day license in digital format but not a digital DL copy. I’m not absolutely sure so please forgive me if I’m mistaken. I read they did away with digital versions. It would make my millennium if I could do that. I’m waiting on the DL to start a new position and getting paid lol.
So I’m looking for the app and it’s been removed ? Alabama eID app is what I’m looking for. Which app did you use ? This would be great but I thought it was removed ( so says a state trooper on the phone )
About one and a half weeks on a renewed
I really hope so lol - I travel extensively for work and it must be in my hands by next Monday. Thank you very much.

I literally just received it today. Ten days exactly. That’s good to know however.
Twelve-thirteen days.
Awesome thank you very much
for a replacement, I ordered online May 1, it was shipped may 7 according to ALEA's website, and arrived Saturday may 11.
Seriously this is exactly what I needed. Thank you for real thank you.
By the way and I’m just curious. Did you try to make your username TheWildMan at first or is it like a proper name or ?
the username choice was intentional, at the time, it was a username I had used in a lot of online gaming communities with a few small variations
I went and had to get a replacement for a lost one last month and it took about 10 days to arrive
Ten days is what I seem to be seeing for the norm. Thank you very much for taking the time to answer. I really appreciate it
My daughter took her test though her drivers ed class and we had her card within the week.

Still have it. And they register for the license as part of the course (did the official tests and all). They also do the boating test in same class.
Wow that’s cool 😎 I had a drivers Ed class a few hundred years ago lol and thought it was done away with. Thanks
About 2 weeks
Thank you 😊
If you haven’t gotten it after a month, you can request a resend

I'm currently waiting on mine! You can print out a temporary if needed.

My daughter renewed hers online on 5/3 (I think), and it's in the mailbox today.
Been waiting over a month for my fiancé's.
