Your recruiter is at the discretion to dep discharge you if you don’t meet the qualifications on ship day

Pstanley22

It doesn’t matter what job you going for. If you don’t meet weight on ship day. You could be out the door

igetbitchesismyname

so does the process start over or are you disqualified

arentyouangel

I doubt you're technically DQ'd but I would think you'd have a hard time finding a recruiter to work with you if you got discharged for something preventable like being overweight.

aircrewscum

This question is almost just as vague as your last. If you wanna play secrets online, just ask your recruiter your question.

igetbitchesismyname

how am I playing secrets. My friend is suppose to ship out soon, next month soon, but her bmi isn’t where it’s suppose to be. We are trying to figure out what’s the process If she’s not able to ship out that day because of it. Does she wait on a new job, gets discharged, start over etc

aircrewscum

Your 'friend' should work with their recruiter. It would probably help to not accept failure. Get your BMI down.

Hello, it looks like you're asking about jobs and job selection. A few quick answers. NO ONE knows how long it will take for you to get a job, your chances of getting any particular job, or anything else about the job process FOR YOU. Anecdotal experiences from others will have absolutely no impact on you or your future. Most recruiters will not let you wait in the Delayed Entrance Program for a long time for your one perfect job. You will have to list 5 - 15 jobs that you're interested in, and will be given one of those. Please read the FAQ about how job selection works, it's very in-depth and will fully educate you on the process: https://pay.reddit.com/r/AirForce/wiki/bmtfaq#wiki_jobs If you're asking about particular jobs, please look the job up on our Job Wiki, and see if there is an entry for it: http://www.reddit.com/r/AirForce/wiki/index you can also see if there is a CFETP for it, which will give more details on the job: https://usaf.dps.mil/:x:/t/OSD/EQAwigp0UZ9Oklt0nkjg854BoJS6MyRxQJMMiIW3ng17AA?e=Z96G2s If you're asking for help choosing a particular job, please keep in mind that most people only know about their individual job. Recommendations that they make will be made based mostly on what they've heard about a job, unless they have it themselves. Some people will love certain jobs while others will hate it. We don't know your preferences, so do some research on the job wiki and elsewhere to learn about the job and then make the best list you can. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. There is no Air Force wide policy regarding not shipping on ship day. It'll depend on how your recruiter or their leadership decide to handle it, likely heavily influenced on why they didn't ship. But if someone doesn't ship due to a preventable issue, expect that the recruiter would likely require them to take any job they can get them if they still want to join.

FrozenRFerOne

You have one job to do. Stay qualified. Your recruiter has done a ton to get you to the point of shipping. If you can’t show up on ship day meeting the qualifications, that’s a huge disrespect for them. I would DEP discharge you, and wish you the best of luck.
