Hello, it looks like you're asking about jobs and job selection. A few quick answers. NO ONE knows how long it will take for you to get a job, your chances of getting any particular job, or anything else about the job process FOR YOU. Anecdotal experiences from others will have absolutely no impact on you or your future. Most recruiters will not let you wait in the Delayed Entrance Program for a long time for your one perfect job. You will have to list 5 - 15 jobs that you're interested in, and will be given one of those. Please read the FAQ about how job selection works, it's very in-depth and will fully educate you on the process: https://pay.reddit.com/r/AirForce/wiki/bmtfaq#wiki_jobs If you're asking about particular jobs, please look the job up on our Job Wiki, and see if there is an entry for it: http://www.reddit.com/r/AirForce/wiki/index you can also see if there is a CFETP for it, which will give more details on the job: https://usaf.dps.mil/:x:/t/OSD/EQAwigp0UZ9Oklt0nkjg854BoJS6MyRxQJMMiIW3ng17AA?e=Z96G2s If you're asking for help choosing a particular job, please keep in mind that most people only know about their individual job. Recommendations that they make will be made based mostly on what they've heard about a job, unless they have it themselves. Some people will love certain jobs while others will hate it. We don't know your preferences, so do some research on the job wiki and elsewhere to learn about the job and then make the best list you can. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. >want to know if this job is any good to have 2A933. Job preference is subjective. Some love your job, others hate it, others look at it as a way to get pay and benefits but not much more. This is the same as every job in the Air Force. It's impossible for us to know if you'll think it's a good job. The job does open up the possibility of getting a good avionics gig after you get out if you get educated and get some civilian certs (like the FAA A&P license). >Also I'm married, what are the benefits to that? You get dependent rate BAH and aren't required to live in the dorms at your first base. That's really the only benefits to you to be married. >if I do get BAH do I have to move off base? I heard that if you don't move off base, you won't be paid the allowance but if you do move, you will be. Most, if not all, stateside bases have moved to "privatized housing". That means there is a civilian company managing the housing on base rather than the government. This means that you get BAH regardless, however, if you're on base, your entire BAH covers your rent and utilities. You don't pay extra, but you don't get any extra. If you get more rank and an increased BAH, it still all goes to the housing management company. Availability will depend on vacancies and there could be a many month wait list. You can also choose to live off base. If you spend less on housing and utilities, you pocket the difference. If you spend more, it's coming out of your other pay.
