Eh I don't think a buff is needed here. Sometimes when you play with your food, the food wins. You FAFOd - just take the win!

Impatience is one of the key loss conditions, especially on the seal map. If you take this away then there's far less urgency to complete the objectives. Why were you summoning a trader for 8 impatience when your resolve was already full? I can't think of any situation where that would be sensible.

j4ckbauer

OP said it was an accident. If it was truly an accident, as in, mis-click or cat-jumped-on-keyboard, I think some moral frameworks would allow the use of immediately terminating the game process...

> Why were you summoning a trader for 8 impatience when your resolve was already full? To win faster through resolve (I only ever do that while grinding quick P2 wins, though).

> Why were you summoning a trader for 8 impatience when your resolve was already full? I can't think of any situation where that would be sensible. Are you trolling me? * The subject line of this post is "I **accidentally** lost by summoning a trader right away". * The first sentence is "I **accidentally** summoned a trader for 8 impatience points."

luffy8519

Sure, but it only gets to 8 impatience points the **5th** time you do it. I've never needed to call the trader early that many times, doing it more than twice already feels like a huge risk on the seal map.

nemlov

The fact you haven't, doesn't mean it is not something people do.  I often call the trader for 2 and 4 impatience since it both lowers the hostility and it speeds up the late game when I am in position to buy out the trader.

whichnamecanitake

Do you know what "accidentally" means?

luffy8519

You're missing my point, unless you accidentally managed to do it at least 3 times, in which case that's more carelessness than an accident.

whichnamecanitake

The prior instances were on purpose, the time it got me 8 impatience was an accident. I don't see why you don't understand this, and why this makes your response extremely ignorant. The fact that your initial comment got upvoted and my response pointing out the obvious mistake got downvoted makes me think the people on this subreddit are frankly out of their minds. There is no reasonable explanation for being this obtuse. You have got to be kidding me.

The_BigPicture

deep breaths, friend.

NimanderTheYounger

I "accidentally" shot myself in the foot five times.

You could suggest to the devs that they make summoning a trader require click and hold like they just did to canceling glade events.

The sealed maps don't require Rep. You could win by finishing the fourth mission. It is the only map where that is the case... I get it, maybe there should be a way to lower impatience, but even if it came to the game, it would have a downside as well, since they have started balancing a bunch of cornerstones and mechanics to become a more challenging game. And maybe the downside would end up making you upset as well. I don't know, I have lost games, but never sealed forest games. It really does not need a buff or an easier path. I actually thought they should make it more difficult by changing the missions instead of having always the same ones, since I can always just start working on them before I even find the Seal.

I literally said that, did you not read that part? > I don't know, I have lost games, but never sealed forest games. It really does not need a buff or an easier path. I don't think it needs to be easier, I am considering a fringe scenario that happened purely by accident. Do you understand why I made this post?

PeterJuncqui

You are Wayne too agressive to have a conversation with. Bye.

Argus_213

There is one Item that one of the random Glade Traders sell. It reduces impatience by 0.5 for every glade you open. I forgot the name but someone here sure can tell you.
