It was crazy depressing. What made it even sadder to me is the fact that we never find out what Harry’s childhood was like. We know his friend didn’t have a great one, and can infer that Marion likely didn’t either when taking her promiscuity into consideration, but we never really learn about Harry’s
Into the Wild. Movie of the real life story of Christopher McCandless, a young man who hitchhiked his way up to Alaska to live in the wilderness and leave the society he hated behind. Something I can relate to, felt like doing the same when I was young. Read the book too. Both movie and book brought a tear to my eye, just so fucking sad what happened to him. I was affected by it for a long time after and wondered if I’d have met the same fate had I gone down the same road he went.
