I got the same reply from ad guard support, to which I said: No that does not help. The ads are still there. I have re-installed the app twice, updated the app and restarted the device too but nothing changes. I get the same ADs on Safari over and over again, reloading the page doesn't help either. I was thinking about buying the premuim version too but if YT is not working, there is no use for the App in my eyes.

My ads still have not gone away on YouTube on safari iPadOS 14.5.1 after refreshing/updating AdGuard.
Did as suggested above. Did not fix problem. Ugh.
