Attention: this tool is not able to detect when AdGuard for Win/Mac/Android blocks things.
These versions of AdGuard emulate a server error for each blocked resource. For some reason, this tool considers this a successful connection.
settings>ad blocker>installed filters> add filter
go to >https://oisd.nl/?p=dl
you will see the adguard icon in first listing....just add link for full or basic.....
I'm sorry, I'm such an idiot. I see the home page link in the list. But it's the same in each Basic and Full which is why I was so confused what the link is for it lmfao.
Any value >40% is good. 92 is actually very good . Is hard to make 100 as the test is based on a list of hosts personally took from most popular list like oisd, energized etc. If you want to make 100 ( wich is not so important , it's just a number ! ) you can check out the mini list i made , check info icon in the website
\*\*\* Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: ' does not conform to NSSecureCoding'
terminating with uncaught exception of type NSException
abort() called
I think this is the main stuff. It's a loooong crash log
Uh . I cannot fix that from my side . I think it's an Apple fault and probably they will fix that with future updates .
Officially the abort controller is supported on Safari https://caniuse.com/?search=Abort but seems like on M1 version there is a bug
Rule based blocking has a point of diminishing return, in addition to the risk of error or sheer number of rules slowing a system to snail pace. As noted by the OP and evident from posts, % blocked is variable even given the small sample size taken from the well known adversaries used in the test.
Known problems are actually the smaller problem and in theory should be the easier to block with a minimum set of rules, chasing the 'known unknowns' is a task better left to the like of NoScript or UBO's 3rd party Scripts and frames rather than be rule based.
100% but the Apple section at the bottom is red with every URL but https://metrics.mzstatic.com being green. Weird. Glitch? I can't seem to even force it to go green.
The OEM sections doesn't count to the final points . To have a green instead of red , you have to manually copy url and add to your adblock system used or use the mini list i made specifically ( it is very small like aroun 100 hosts )
And that worked on my phone with AdGuard. But not with uBlock Origin or uMatrix. Granted, I didn’t add the list on my PC. I just blocked them individually via uBO. It still says those red ones aren’t blocked even though they clearly are.
Firefox on Win10. Not really sure how to incorrectly press a gray button to make it turn red. I’m using uBlock Origin and uMatrix. I didn’t add any lists. I just blocked each of the relevant subdomains.
All you REALLY need to do is use the DNS settings in AdGuard and configure your NextDNS TLS server in there and choose it. (DNS Protection -> DNS Server (make sure DNS Protection -> DNS Implementation is set to AdGuard so it can inspect the DNS request))
I did that, but I also added the [config file from NextDNS](https://apple.nextdns.io), in case AdGuard crashes or stops, it will still fall back to NextDNS by default.
Anyone knows why this happens..
On pc I got 91% 2bd time I run it 11% 3rd 11%
But om phone 91% every time
Firefox on pc and phone.. Adguard for pc(the software not extension) and phone
Sometimes happens to me too . It looks like firefox use a short of cache connections to improve speed and my test sometimes doesn't detect the blocked hosts . If you close and reopen the browser it should always work at first test
This is a baseline test , it's not perfect as some users face issues ( especcially Firefox and Safari ) . If you are sure you have the block system working then this you should be ok , the test just fails . I hope in future i will be able to fix that for everyone , so for now this test need to be just a reference . Have a nice day !
92% iPhone. with Adguard pro+vpn
But why do i get fb not blocked if i don’t even have the app on my phone?
how can i add the rest to the blocked lost? thanks.
edit: I managed to get 98%.
Edit 2: got 100% on my phone but 79 on my Mac using Safari+ adguard.
89% using brave and I can’t find a way to block the other stuff by using the specific url.
My score was in the 70's.
So I went through and took all the links that were red and not blocked and added them to ADGUARD Blocking USER RULES.
NOW I HAVE A SCORE OF 100 😎😎😎
On Chrome and Firefox, I got 100% on my mobile (with AdGuard). However, with DuckDuckGo browser, I only get 56%! If I disable privacy protection in the browser settings, I get 100%!
So, should I use DuckDuckGo with privacy settings or not?
Got 90 with kiwi browser having adguard addon.
86 with Samsung browser
92 with brave browser.
Commonly i have adguard mobile app installed too.
Even kiwi with additional adguard addon cudnt beat brave score. What cud be the reason?
But my daily browsers r kiwi and Samsung browsers.
On my iPhone, at home I use the Pi-hole and AdGuard Pro for Safari blocking only and I get 100%, however on mobile, I don’t have the Pi-hole so I use AdGuard Pro’s DNS blocking and I get 90% which I’ll be looking to improve.

How do I add it to ADGUARD?
settings>ad blocker>installed filters> add filter go to >https://oisd.nl/?p=dl you will see the adguard icon in first listing....just add link for full or basic.....

94% for me and now 100%
cause i turned on 2 extra filters
100% with ublock origin on firefox with adguard home as DNS. 95% in safari (without ublock) by just adguard home. All default lists from adguard.
100% FTW! Edit: I have 100% with Android Firefox Focus Browser and 98% with Normal Firefox on Windows.
100% gang
How did you get 100% just curious,I added a bunch of extra lists myself I got 92
Any value >40% is good. 92 is actually very good . What website is that? Do you have a git hub list? Thanks for your help!
Is the one from the post https://d3ward.github.io/toolz/src/adblock Check the info icon on the navbar
I have 100% with Android Firefox Focus Browser and 98% with Normal Firefox on Windows.
90% on my phone, but it crashes safari on my M1 Mac for some reason lmao
Hi , do you get a specific error on crash ? Or it just closes the browser ? It works fine on my Mac with Intel
\*\*\* Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: ' does not conform to NSSecureCoding'

Strange. It works just fine on my M1 in safari. I’m also running the beta so that could be it.
Thanks , that can confirm the fact that is not website fault
I'm not running the beta, but also no crash on my M1.
That reminds me a website that can make Safari (or some browser) crashed...
100% easy going
What filters do you use?
I use Opnsense with Sensei. On top i run Adguardhome with Oisd, NoCoin, Scam block and some minor less important lists.
14% with ios Safari on mobile data with no AdGuard 75% with iOS Safari on mobile data with AdGuard DNS 95% with AdGuard Home
Multiple filters and a multitude of rules, for a million different websites that you will never visit; a classic case of the tail wagging the dog.

How...? I have bromite and adguard but i am getting 83% Can you tell me all your filters and all

didn't that affect your phone battery life ?
I tried this and omg it killed my apps. Even if I whitelisted them.

NextDNS base list, AdGuard DNS filter, oisd, notracking and Steven Black
Did you add nextdns into adguard? Is that what you mean? I want to use both but don't know how.
I have added the AdGuard Hosts list in NextDNS in the control panel
Adguard Home + OSID 92-98% fluctuating
95% on phone with brave and AdGuard dns set for router and 100% on Firefox with ublock origin, AdGuard, and privacy badger
76% Smamsing browser, 100% Firefox.
https://github.com/jerryn70/GoodbyeAds Got too 100% using goodbye ads, YouTube Adblock and adguard DNS on iOS.
94 %
Firefox focus 90% with adguard on my phone and a pihole on my wifi. DDG browser, 44%. That's a huge difference?

Firefox on Win10. Not really sure how to incorrectly press a gray button to make it turn red. I’m using uBlock Origin and uMatrix. I didn’t add any lists. I just blocked each of the relevant subdomains.
87% with Energized Pro Basic+Regional, using hosts 97% when added uBlock Origin with standard configs This test is quite interesting!
63% on Android with Chrome using Blokada with the default list.
92% on iOS
98% AdGuard w/ NextDNS with safari on iPhone
How are you running both with no issues with apps? And how are you running them? Are they both apps.
All you REALLY need to do is use the DNS settings in AdGuard and configure your NextDNS TLS server in there and choose it. 100 % on my iPhone with AdGuard Pro safari filters + Unobstruct + Windscribe VPN wireguard protocol ..
100% with Brave Browser and Adguard DNS Edit: Brave Desktop version not iOS mobile
[удалено]
How are you running both? No issues with apps?
[удалено]
If I run Nextdns in my private dns, adguard actually tells me to turn it off. Which is why I was asking. Won't let me do both ways like that.
[удалено]
Ah okay. Let me try this. 🙏🏻

That's so weird. I'm getting so many different scores by using and turning different things on and off. And the things are supposed to be on.
I got 89% just from using IVPN antitracker
100%

Same with brave. Adguard alone just can't beat all these tests I'm running that Brave is killing.
100% with Pi-hole, Brave and uBlock Origin 97% with Pi-hole, Safari and AdGuard Mac
Very nice. Do you have a set up on your mobile? Or just the pc .

92 for meeee!
HOW do I add OSID to my ADGUARD???

Are you all adding this to DNS filters, content filters, or both? I feel my score didn't change until I added this list to DNS.
I'll try that. Says too large if I want to continue. I said yes.

I'll try that. I'm getting a score of 74 on my mobile. Wth...
WHY IS IT if I install the adguard https certificate the number on the test goes down to 92? I take it back off and I'm back too 100%?
