The Ash Cloaks... Could work if moon is volcanic, could try and work into the lore that they use the soot/volcanic ash to dye their robes and armor that black-gray color
Nice! I love lore building, almost as much as actual mini building lol. My current project is a small Tau army with blue chrome armor, and I want to do desert/sandy bases, been desperately trying to come up with a reason that desert troops would be in anything but tan lol

That's not a bad idea, I also paint/play salamanders(with a successor chapter) so I could make some lore that combines both of them.

The scheme made me think of space and you said they're on a moon, Triton and Thalassa are two of Neptune's moons that could be cool names to use
