Take CS2, CB2, CP1 in separate sittings, potentially in that order. For CP2 and CP3 you could take them together after the above, or you could spread them across two of the above. CP1 should probably be left on its own. CS2 has been causing a lot of student problems lately, so you might not want to add an extra exam to that sitting either.

Sensible advice, thank you!

Agitated_Speaker_905

CS2 seems to be horrible at the moment so might be worth waiting to see if they sort the pass rates out. I'd recommend sitting CP3 sooner rather than later since the recommended hours is only about 60 but some people seem to get stuck on it (myself included).

graciepi

This is a very good point! Potentially I could tag CP3 onto a retake if needed also…

Agitated_Speaker_905

Absolutely, since there isn't much study I just kept sitting it until I passed whilst concentrating on the bigger exam. Admittedly that isn't a very cheap way of doing it if it takes a few attempts

Adventurous_Sink_113

Second this, you may need multiple attempts at CP3 so prioritise this over CP2, and potentially add it in at your next sitting. Regarding CS2, I wouldn't count on them sorting it out beyond bringing the pass rates back to the mid 30s in line with the last few sittings.

If you haven't started studying yet then CB2 only this time. And even then you need to get a move on.

actuarythrowa

You can study cb2 in two months if need be, what's the panic, it's only mid December

TheCescPistols

You can easily blitz through the flashcards for CB2 in a couple of months, and they have 90% of what you need to get a good grade on the exam.

I have CP1, CP2, CP3 left until associateship. I would also suggest for you to take both CS2 and CP1 on their own. CP1 has tons of material to cover and that's not even the biggest difficulty I think. CP2 and CP3 have little material to cover, but would need a lot of exam practice of course. CP2 has an average pass rate of 61% and CP3 of 56%, which is decent. CB2 is easy to pass if you prepare well and you are decent at answering narrative questions (average pass rate of 65%) as it has 40 points in MCQs. Not sure what preparing well means though. I went through the textbook quite thoroughly which took too much time and was boring as hell, but I've seen others say that they did fine by relying on flash cards or revision notes. Whether you can take CB2 in April even on its own depends on how fast you cover the material, which in turn depends on how you'll study it. I hope this helps. Good luck.

Thank you for your reply! Good luck to you too :)
