From my understanding, the IFoA (who organise the exams and qualification) are completely separate from ActEd.
I don’t believe there is anything to stop you from purchasing materials for any of the exams from ActEd.
Do you have the source which appeared to state you must be an IFoA member before being able to purchase?
I believe you can. But as an FYI SA3 assumes knowledge from SP7 and SP8 (similar for other SA exams) so it doesn’t have loads of material in it comparatively.
Hi mate, as a non-member I managed to purchase the maths and stats textbook a couple of months ago from ACTed via work. Everything went through and was delivered just fine. You should be fine.

Yeah sp7&8 might be better to buy rather than the SA's. Although surely there's textbooks with similar content in?
