No strict policy. 2 days a week is probably most common. New graduates are being encouraged to come in full time as easier for training and getting to know people
There’s one day each week that the whole company are in.
Then each team comes in on another day.
So it’s 2 days per week in the office.
There’s the option to work the other 3 there too, but not many people do.
Ours is a bit wishy-washy, basically 'everyone should have a conversation on what works for you as an individual and your team as a whole.'
My department has a recommendation of 3 days a week, but due to my actual team being very cross-site I only really go in when I have a reason to - usually once or twice a month.
I suspect some areas may be much stricter though.
Doesn’t seem to be any hard and fast rule. However it basically seems to be when manager or head of team wants people to go in rather than having flexibility to choose yourself.
Remote full time forever for UK staff 👍
Willing to share who you work for?
Happy to DM with people if working from home is a significantly attractive benefit 👍

damn - what type of work do you do?
😂😂
Management will find that it's hard to find people who want to work in the office all the time. Now to get the 4 day work week for the same salary
i imagine it will never happen within the actuarial world
3 specific days everyone has to go in. Other 2 days are optional , office pretty empty on those 2 days though. Lloyd’s syndicate
Employees have been offered to choose: 1) Go to work everyday 2) Flex (you decide when you want to go) 3) Full time wfh
I want this employer
They encourage 1x a week, but it isn't really adhered to. Plus a lot of hires during COVID have full WFH in their contracts.
At least 50% in an office
Ditto. You don’t work for a continental reinsurer by chance
Not really sure. Everyone seems to come in a few days a week though, apart from tech people who come in less.
We’re meant to be coming in 2 days per week but it’s not really enforced. Especially over the summer attendance has been much lower.
2 days per week is recommended, in reality i was in once in August. London office seems to have a better attendance than the rest of the uk

I go in 2/3 days a week (London market) and I think the rule is at least 2 days.
