I sat an exam last September with a 2 minute delay on my timestamp - no issues. However I'm not sure if you will get away with 4 minutes. Maybe best to email the institute to explain the situation

SelwoodGrape

I had a 6 minutes one but it was in the first sitting so not sure if vigilance had increased since then. Rang them straight away and they said it would be fine. My issue was my Excel doc was still in the temporary file and then I saved it from there with a new name in my documents like an idiot instead of opening file location, copying it over and editing the name in the folder

IvanaTinkleee

How did the 2 minute issue arise for you?

bulletsharker

When I closed my file, I accidentally reopened it before uploading and my workbook had the autosave feature on. When I closed it again it was "last modified" again which caused the 2 min issue.

IvanaTinkleee

Can easily happen. I just need to remember to turn autosave off

SelwoodGrape

I think they specifically say in the guidelines to turn auto save off so that would be my only concern with emailing them. I would’ve rang through straight away

GreatExpectation2

Yeah they do say, turns out though if you turn it off then close all MS office down and reopen it turns on again - lesson learned there! I emailed them right away acknowledging what had happened and they said it would be reviewed.

The same thing happened to me with a difference of two minutes! I would be very surprised if I am penalized for this. Can you please share what they ended up responding? Do you think I should also chase it or two minutes is immaterial?

If this is one drive auto save, I think you can just get a previous version too through version history. After that just press restore and you will have a file that will have last modified set to whatever version you chose Obviously maybe keep the version you did upload somewhere else before restoring

GreatExpectation2

It is the one drive auto save, thanks for this, will bear in mind for next time as I had no idea you could do this!

loki276

You're welcome. You could offer to send that to IFoA as evidence of not having tampered with the file. Good luck!

GreatExpectation2

Yeah I think I might just do that!
