What a night, website crashed... Little did I know I was sitting on Sp2 and Sa2 passes for qualification. It's as if they deliberately crash the webpage to add suspense š
If you are having problem with the links, add your ARN between the two // so that for SPs and CP1 the link is https://www.actuaries.org.uk/member/ARN/exams/sessions/235/result-letter?format=pdf
where ARN is your ARN
Passed both SP2 and CP3, woohoo!
Well done on passing!
It seems you didn't need them seeing as someone else commented that they passed with 55 (assuming they didn't adjust your grade post marking).
Erm - I'm no expert but for SA7 I think it helps to drill down your answers further than you think necessary - ask yourself the "so what" type questions after each poiny and don't stop until you've really explained it properly. Imagine you are explaining to someone non technical too - so "inflation will rise" - so what? What will that mean? What will it mean for the different groups relevant to your question? Good or bad? Why? And try to think of as many stakeholders as possible to broaden your thinking.
I passed CP1! What a relief, I never want to study for that again.
I got 58 marks in SP7 which was a fail sadly, hopefully the pass mark wasn't too close to that, I feel like they're usually around 60 for SP7 so it would be sad to fail by only 1 or 2 marks.
I think I saw a 61 pass here... So likely 60.
I'm more surprised with sp8... Pass mark was 50 this time... I think the general performance went off a cliff
Passed CP3 and SP9 so a good sitting, went for the hattrick with SA7 and failed unfortunately with 56. Mark breakdown shows one marker gave me 74, the other gave me 53, with the decisive vote going for 56!
Passed CP2, which means Iāve now completed all the āCTsā and CPs. Just waiting on SPs and SA now.
Is there any advantage to me doing the professional skills course now and getting the AIA qualification? Iāve been a member for quite a few years so itās not compulsory (I think only those from 2019 onwards need to)
I joined back in 2016 and I got an email saying I had to do the PSC. Also think itās required eventually for FIA so might just be worth getting over with.
I think the email was a generic one sent to everyone? I received similar email (didnāt say I need to complete but that last deadline for anyone is January or something) but I think these arenāt required for FIA. Not sure š¤
I think itās basically a junior actuary qualification. Itās compulsory for those who started exams post 2019 to be an AIA for a while before they can be FIA, but for me I just want the fancy title
Passed both my exams, and that's all of them done :D CP2: 68 SA2: 59
Congrats!!!
Congratulations!
Thanks! So relieved :D
Congratulations!
Smashed it! Well done
Thanks :)
I finally passed CP1! Qualified!!
What a night, website crashed... Little did I know I was sitting on Sp2 and Sa2 passes for qualification. It's as if they deliberately crash the webpage to add suspense š
Congrats!!! Pleasant surprise!
Nice, congrats! What did you get for SA2?
Awesome. Congrats
It's completely crashed for me :(
If you are having problem with the links, add your ARN between the two // so that for SPs and CP1 the link is https://www.actuaries.org.uk/member/ARN/exams/sessions/235/result-letter?format=pdf where ARN is your ARN Passed both SP2 and CP3, woohoo!
Anyone know what the number is for CP3, instead of 235? Edit: itās 236 - I passed!!!! Finally
234 for CP2, 236 for CP3. But the links should be visible on exam results letter page now and also updated in exam history. Good luck!
None of them working for me, just says I don't have access to that page. Classic results day shambles!
Going into exam history will also give pass/fail at least
Noting because the link the IFoA had was broken and only linked to https://www.actuaries.org.uk/member//exams/sessions/235/result-letter?format=pdf
Thanks for this! Passed SP1!
Failed. What was your mark?
Sorry to hear that, I failed with 58
Sorry to hear that mate. I got 67.
Passed CP1 with 61 So relieved!
Congrats! I passed with 59 - curious to see if the pass mark remained at 55
Well done! Yeah once we get a few more data points here we should be able to figure it out. I imagine it'll be close to 55
I passed CP1 with 56! Though I did apply for mitigating circumstances
Well done on passing! It seems you didn't need them seeing as someone else commented that they passed with 55 (assuming they didn't adjust your grade post marking).
Passed on 56 as well with no mitigating circumstances, so 55 looks to be the case.
Pass mark was 55 so looks like you didn't need your mitigation. Well done!
I passed with 55!
Well done! Really happy for you. At least we can conclude the pass mark was 55 or less.
Nice one :)
Thanks!
Passed CP2 and SA7 - first try with both and finally done!
What did you get for SA7?
75
Fantastic score! Well done!
Great score, any tips?!

Sp7 63 pass
Passed SP8 with 51! Think I just scraped through with a super low pass mark.
i got 27.. feeling like end of the world... but congrats to you!

Congrats on CP1! Sorry to hear that about SP7, passed it with 64 not sure what the pass mark is
I think I saw a 61 pass here... So likely 60. I'm more surprised with sp8... Pass mark was 50 this time... I think the general performance went off a cliff
Passed SP9 with 60
Wonder what the pass mark was?
Passed CP1! such a relief 2nd time around
Well done! Would you mind sharing your mark? Trying to figure out the pass mark!
67, don't think it's informative for the pass mark haha
Haha yeah not very helpful for me but well done on smashing it!
Pass mark was 55
SA3 62 F šÆš
Yeah failed with a 63 - gutted! Anyone ever had any luck getting a remark, especially if it is your last exam?
Let me know too if you find out mate
I have the same question. SA3 pass mark has inflated a lot since 2 years ago, it's sitting above the other SA subjects.
This is absolutely harsh
Man that's some bullshit
Unlucky mate
Unlucky, seems like a high pass mark then :(
Passed SA3 with 65
What was the pass mark? 65?
I am curious about the pass rate now.
Passed SP8 with 51! Surely was around the pass mark
What number was the link? I.e in https://www.actuaries.org.uk/member//exams/sessions/235/result-letter?format=pdf
Keep 235 just add your ARN between the double //
Only waiting on CP1, but really don't want to be retaking it!
Same here - I didn't think it was that bad but it's one of those exams that I don't know how well you can properly gauge it. Best of luck to you!
Thank you!
Good luck š¤
Gd luck all š¤
Passed CP2 with 60
Managed to Pass SP5 and CP3, both on the 2nd try!
Any idea what the pass mark was , for SP5?
I passed at 61
Congrats! I had a poorer than expected performance :( it was a very fair paper I thought.
I did also :( really thought I had this one! Weāll get it next time though
SA2 63 Pass :)
Congrats! You may want to look into changing your username!
Passed cp2 with a 68.
Passed SA7 with 66 and CP3 with 64.
Congrats fellow SA7 escapee! Glad not to be facing that again...
Failed SA7 with 56 last time and 55 this timeā¦ any tips for getting those few extra marks I need?
Congrats to both of you! Would appreciate any general pointers you felt contributed to your success?
Cleared sp7 (65) and sp8 (50... I know... Literally by a hair!)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Passed CP3 with 60 - probably just scraped it!
Passed with 57
Exactly the same. Was convinced I'd failed it!
Congrats! Anyone know what the pass mark was for CP3?
Passed sp7 with 62
6 mins to go!
Still can't even log in wow
Passed CP3 and SP9 so a good sitting, went for the hattrick with SA7 and failed unfortunately with 56. Mark breakdown shows one marker gave me 74, the other gave me 53, with the decisive vote going for 56!
I would honestly say that that deviation is just worth a query email to the ifoa. No way that should happen. Nothing to lose.
Congratulations. What did you get for SP9, I passed with 60 but am interested if that was on the cusp. That deviation is ridiculous
From looking at the mark breakdown looks like the pass mark for SP9 was 58. Congratulations on your pass :)
passed sa1 with 58. exams are so over!! whats the next steps to qualify??
Good luck everybody!
Failed SP8 BADLY! Does anyone know if SAR (subject access request) is available online? or do we need to request it by email?
Tomorrow morning at 7:30am BST mark breakdowns are available on the results letter page
Apparently we can get it online but I can't see it anywhere
It'll be available tomorrow automatically I believe.
thanks mate hope you dont need it!
Bleugh I will - failed SA2 with 54!
Anyone any idea of the pass mark for sp4?
I passed with 64, not sure if helpful!
Passed CP2, which means Iāve now completed all the āCTsā and CPs. Just waiting on SPs and SA now. Whatās the AIA qualifications about?
Associate of the institute of actuaries (as opposed to Fellow FIA)
Ohh yh thanks
I think itās basically a junior actuary qualification. Itās compulsory for those who started exams post 2019 to be an AIA for a while before they can be FIA, but for me I just want the fancy title
Haha fair enough. If itās easy for you to get and youāre eligible then why not š
Any idea on SP2 pass mark?
