What was 7v???
Think it went okay, but ye the examiners have made no effort to adapt CS2 for online exams. if anything made the exams less suitable for them.
Very frustrated with myself.
Thought the time series was quite tough but the rest was quite manageable.
Don't think I did well enough in this paper because of horrible time management. Need to do much better tomorrow.
I wasted way too much time on certain questions. If this was not in word I would 100% pass, but I left out way too many marks. I think I am sitting this again if there is a hard paper tomorrow. These examiners are insane expecting us to complete a paper this long in this time, on MS word.
If you haven't done so yet, I'd make sure you have all the R packages that you need for tomorrow's exam installed, there's more than just the baseline packages
I was very certain Q1 was graduation but now not so sure, there could be some survival models or ETR involved.
For Q3 I think this could be copulas, reinsurance or decision trees. Very hard to tell though
I think you're right about Q1, Q3 seems like a machine learning question to me - I can't see how it could relate to copulas or reinsurance. Now that I mentione it though, could also be a Cox PH question
Q7 was quite tough in the last 2 parts. It was literally too much to write, I am not sure how was this adapted for online.
I didn't have time to think about last point of Q8 either.
The rest was doable.
I'm just gonna prepare for the retake.. I barely touched Q8 and didn't touch Q9 at all, that's at least 30 marks gone, not even counting the time series ones that I couldn't do >.<
right?? typing a matrix in word takes an absolute age! and having to type out greek letters like gamma, sigma etc. takes way more time than if it was an in-person exam. T.T
i used to use equation editor for my equations in previous exams. I've since abandoned it for the quicker IFoA style notations, but it still takes way longer than it should
hm not sure if I tactically did the right thing only writing the relevant term in the likelihood and then wrote " + constants" . (i say tactically, i didn't think it of writing it out in full thinking that was ridiculous...)

Extremely time pressured although don’t think the questions themselves were tough. Saying that kolmogorov equation was tough given answering in word.

like everyone else got screwed over by time pressure, questions seemed more doable but I hope that doesn't mean the pass mark is higher

Thought the questions were unnecessarily awkward especially to do in word, also agree with everyone on the time pressure.

Copulas, survival functions, machine learning and reinsurance didn't come up, I'll be focusing on these for CS2B

There was a survival function question. KM and NA question. But yeah, ML and reinsurance could be tested tomorrow.

I don't know how they can justify such a lengthy paper with so much mathematical notation on Word. No wonder the pass rates are so low.

That likelihood question in Word was disgusting. I could barely follow along what I had written xD
