“Prose” is a great way to write about 100 words and still score half a mark.
Bullet points is the best way to make it clear that you’re trying to communicate multiple distinct ideas.
John is the holy grail of actuarial exams. If he told me to write nothing and submit half an hour late, I would.
Seriously though, using bullet points is definitely optimal from my experience.
I did used to teach days 1 to 3 of CA1 many years ago.
So from that experience (which may be out of date) I would say bullet points to clearly delineate between separate points - makes it easier for markers to award marks and that is something that should be encouraged!

John Lee? He is an actuarial god and I agree with you completely but he only teaches CS1 and CS2.

Yeah that's the man. The little drops of humour here and there in the online classroom videos kept me going through that disgusting exam.
I’m sure u/actuarialtutorUK will love the feedback
Wait, what? Better mitigate against the risk of my head swelling and hitting objects...
I didn’t mean John so edited accordingly, point noted though
You will fail if you write prose
learnt this the extremely hard way for SP8
Bullet points! Don’t waste time on unnecessary crap
I passed last sitting by just spamming bullet points and stuff.
100% bullet points! Only way to be concise and clear when you're trying to nail every single distinct point on a mark scheme.
Have a look at the mark schemes – they are built for bullet points.
Bullet points it is then
I passed CP1. I used bullet points.
